too much fiber?

How much fiber is really too much? My automated goal is 19, which I usually exceed by at least 10-15 grams due to eating fiber rich beans, fruits & vegetables.

Is that a "bad" thing? It hasn't hindered my weight loss in any at all!

I just wondered since it posts "in the red" on my dairy almost every day!

Fiber is excellent for weight loss but too much fiber can alter how your body absorbs vitamin D. As a fat soluble vitamin, low fat diets can also alter how you absorb vitamin D. Talk to your pharmacist about a supplement and keep up the good work.

I read that the "healthy" daily range is 25-35. When you go too high above that, it has the effects of not getting enough fiber, like constipation, bloating, stomach pain, etc.

Recommended amount per day for a woman is 35, and for a man 45. I try to get in 30 to 40 a day. :) Make sure you drink alot of water or it will stop you up! :/

    From Livestrong.com:

    The Facts
According to the Institute of Medicine, women between the ages of 19 and 30 need 28 grams of dietary fiber every day. Women older than 30 on a 2,000-calorie daily diet should increase their consumption of fiber to 31 grams per day, according to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food Guide.
