I am considering starting to take vitamin b. I had a few questions though.

I am on a birth control pill so would it effect that in any way ?

What brand do you recommend ? I don't want to end up with horse pills.

Do you usually take one a day or more ?

I am by nature deficient in B12, as discovered by blood work by my doctor. In order to get adequate amounts, I need supplements. I take one multi (Whole Food's 365 brand) and one B12 supplement (Nature's Made brand) daily and that has balanced everything out. The Nature's Made B12 is a tiny pink pill, no horse pills!

I can't imagine a daily supplement taken in correct doses would affect birth control pill effectiveness, though a quick call to your doctor would probably answer that question for you.

After reading the book "Could it be B12?" I decided they'd really help with my energy. I now have both my retired parents taking them, as well as my sister and my husband. They've made a huge difference for me in the two months since I started.

I take these: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001ECXHZI/ref=oh_details_o04_s00_i01 According to the book, this kind gets absorbed by the body more efficiently. And since the dose is so high, I only take one per day.
