Ok I am 5'2" ......Is there a prefered weight before starting the Cto5K from the beginning??

Does being over weight mean I shouldn't start it right now or just take it slow.

I don't need damage to anything but I do want to start somewhere but don't know where and when is best.

You can start running when you are heavier. My advice would be don't go too fast, wear some appropriate training shoes, enjoy it and believe you can do it. Running is a great way to burn calories. The C2 5k is a good program to follow, but don't feel you have to move through it as quickly add they say, you can repeat weeks until you are more comfortable running. Give it a try, you have nothing to lose.

I am heavy and I CAN RUN! And I actually enjoy it and I don't care what anyone else says...lol Okay it was mostly myself for years saying "I don't run" while thinking I can't. But that was a lie. So you won't know until you try! The C25K app is awesome for starting! I definitely recommend it

I'm on week 3 and doing great. I'm 245 pounds  Sure it's tough but you can totally do it. Don't psych yourself out thinking you can't. People a lot heavier have done this program too. Get yourself a good pair of running shoes and go for it. You just may surprise yourself

Also remember, you can go on to the next level when you feel comfortable. If you try going up a week and can't get through it there is no harm doing another run or two in the lower level. And give yourself the off days when starting out, that's the fastest way of cousin injury...doing too much too soon.
