Question about marinades...

I'm just wondering, if you use a marinade for a recipe, how are you supposed to claim it if you end up discarding it after you cook your food? Should it all be claimed or would you just pass on adding it to your recipe?

I will usually make up the container/bag of marinade with meat or veggies that I'm using and weigh it. When it's ready to cook and I take the meat/veggies out than I weight the remaining amount.
Doesn't take much time at all.0 -
I weigh what I discard and then subtract that from what I had at the start, then add it that way.0
