    I'm from Louisiana and Alabama. We eat lots of seafood and good southern veggies like greens, okra, etc.. It's not too hard to eat well in cajun country. Shrimp and crawfish boils and raw oysters are yummy and full of protein. Fix your greens without too much oil and fat and you are good! :)
