Taking before pictures is really hard. Reality is hard. There is always a level of guilt & disgust that accompanies the final push to get fit again. Welcome to MFP, and you CAN do it!

I had a hard time with before pics but for a different reason. I hid from the camera... and you couldn't pay me to NOT volunteer to be the one that took pics of everyone else. It took me a long while to take any true "i'm taking this pic on purpose to see my progress" type pics. It was still hard then and I had lost a good 25 lbs. at that point.

Best thing about before pics is you KNOW the after will be better!! You got this!

I took before pics with all intent of posting them...lets just say they were on my camera for a while till I deleted them before my BF saw them and thought I was pulling an "anthony weiner" :)

Best of luck to you! Let us know how the shredded in 30 goes!

I took mine yesterday. It's awful. The reality of what you actually look like smacks you in the face. But like someone else said, you know the next set of pics will only be better. Plus, it gave me even more motivation to stick with the program. I've started and stopped 100 times. I'm not doing that this time until I have the success I've wanted for so long! Good luck! I'm starting Turbo Fire soon too.

Took my before pictures a week ago before starting P90x, it wasn't pleasant, it made me feel down and I also understand why people always think i'm pregnant. I'm pretty sure, down the line, i'll compare and be happy about my results.

While you may not like your pictures, use them as motivation. I know some people will post them up here in public to add that extra sense of motivation. You can do it, and your after shot will look so much better.

I need to take some before pics. I rarely get my picture made. I cry when I look at them so I just stay away from the camera. I think I need a reality check though because I've been going back to old habits again.

Everyone is their own worst critic. Just stick with it -- good job on the before pics. Can't wait to see your success story. ;)

You'll love Turbo Fire! I'm 5'6" and weigh a little less than you. I feel how you feel when I see pics of myself now. It's hard. Then again, I try to focus on what my body can and has done, and then don't worry as much about weight. Good luck to you!

Oh yeah, I was an expert at avoiding the camera ...... but finally saw a photo of me & my family that made me burst into tears ...... between that & the doctor scolding me, well, let's just say that I came to my senses & changed my evil ways LOL

Whatever works ..... is a good thing !
