Working out with a Fitness Trainer?

Is anyone working out with a fitness trainer? I gave birth 5 months ago, and I am trying to loose this baby fat. I was going to curves for about 3 years. At first I thought I was getting some where and then just now I notice that it was getting boring for me and my body. Top of that I found out curves is closing where I was going to. So I joined a gym and hired a fitness trainer. I only seen her twice already and I will see her later today for the 3rd time. Anyone who is working out with a trainer thought we can become MFP friends and motivate and encourage each other. How long have you been working out with your trainer and do you notice any results?

I work out with a trainer twice a week and love it! Just make sure you have a good one that watches and corrects your form. I have been working with a trainer for 1-1/2 years. I love the fact that I have a person outside of my family that is keeping track of my progress. He'll always ask how are your calories, how are your workouts coming? It's helps to keep me motivated. I also have had an injury to my knee and he has been awesome in helping me rehab it. I would highly recommend a trainer to anyone that has a lot of weight to lose. (As long as its a good one!) They will encourage and push you further than you ever thought you could go. Feel free to add me! Enjoy your workouts!0

I had a trainer before I started curves but it only last a month because she quit. She quit due to some kind of drama and that is when I decided to join curves. Then we moved to NC and transfer curves. The funny thing is that I met my trainer before she became my trainer. She was a zumba instructor in our curves but they got rid of zumba and now they are closing. I never had a male trainer before. So I will consider this all new to me still and see where it leads to0

I workout with my friend Roman who is a fitness / exercise nut, his girlfriend is in school for nutrition so I am kind of lucky. When we workout we push & motivate each other.0

I've been working with my trainer for 2+ years and credit his help in me losing 25+ lbs
and being healthier, fitter and stronger than ever before in my life.
For me, the motivation can't be beat. I am accountable to what he suggests/reccomends I do for success.
he has yet to steer me wrong.
Just be sure to find the right trainer for you. This is my 2nd trainer. The first one was a nice enough person, but
didn't click with my personality they way my current trainer does. It's kinda like having a doctor- I prefer to see
one particular person in a practice, so I know that person knows me, inside and out and can make decisions
based on his knowledge of who I am.0 -

I totally agree with you. I had a trainer before about 2-3 years ago. She only last a month because she quit. I joined curves after that and since they closed, I hired a fitness trainer 2 - 3 weeks ago. I met her before. She was a zumba instructor for curves. Tuesday was my 3rd day with her and so far I like it. I meet her again next Tuesday. I pretty much meet her once a week. Hope things will work better later on. If I don't see any improvement later on then I will see if I can switch trainers. But I do see and understand on which trainer works best for you. It would suck to train with a trainer that isn't so fun. Some reason so far I like working out with females then the males. When I was joining up for a trainer I also tried a male and he seemed like he can be a jerk. There was something about him that I didn't agree with. I am sure there are nice male trainers out there but haven't found the right one yet. My main reason for me to train with a female trainer is because they have the same body as I do and not over working on it. I am not coming out of the gym looking all buff lol. But I am also looking for a job for my self and see if I can add more sessions instead of once a week.0
