Are caffeine pills safe?

I drink a lot of coffee, probably a bit too much because my body seems to tolerate it and now it doesn't give me the mental kick it used to. I was wondering if caffeine pills would be more potent, and safe within proper dosage? Does anyone here use them?
Thanks in advance

I've heard an apple has a better stimulating affect then a cup of coffee. just food for thought0

Too much caffeine can effect your heart rhythm...make sure you are taking a safe amount

If you are drinking coffee for quick energy (such as being sleepy mid afternoon) drink a full glass of water and you will be revived. Sounds crazy, but it works!!!!!

Hehe... It's more for late night studying...
But drinking cold water instead of hot coffee may help, thanks for the idea! :flowerforyou:0 -
I'm no big fan of the taste of coffee and discovered wake-ups (a brand of caffeine pills) almost 2 years ago and now I take one each morning while my roommate makes his coffee. I checked the caffeine content and one pill (I take one in the morning) has the same mg of caffeine as a large Tim Horton's coffee, so it's not necessarily more potent, but who knows, maybe since it's in pill form it would affect you differently. I would advise against taking like 10 at a time though. Too much caffeine in any form has risks.0

I've taken them before, staying up for days in college so I could study and work full time and 'function'.
Some of my occasional side effects:
I had crazy heart rhythms. That was worrisome. My heart would just start POUNDING.
I had acid reflux so bad once I had to literally keep drinking fluids for 4 hours straight.
I had the jitters. Couldn't type or write because I couldn't stop shaking.
My eyelids wouldn't stop twitching. Very distracting when trying to focus on schoolwork.
IMO, you'd be better off to drink copious amounts of caffeine than the take those pills.
Oooooh, I was taking those energy pills, btw..... with all kinds of other fun ingredients (that have probably been pulled from the shelves by now because they cause certain death). My stuff may not be applicable to straight up caffeine pills.0
