Gym Rant!

I know this is silly, so that's why I put it in "fun"
I go to a really small gym. Our free weight section is fairly small, and usually it's generally understood that take the time you need to rest between sets, but don't dilly dally too long because other people need your bench.
Most of us adhere to this unspoken "rule."
There are a few men who sit around on the benches with weights in their hands, talking and GOSSIPING like hens! They spend at least five minutes between exercises talking about nothing, hogging the benches.
One of them is a total dirtbag, and finally I asked if he was finished and he said "shouldn't you be on a cardio machine?"
Seriously!? I'm not sure if it's because I'm female, an overweight female, or both, but damn I love my free weights!
One of my biggest gym annoyances are people who sit and talk for longer than their total workout.. while occupying machines

Wow what a prick! I'd probably let someone have it if they ever said some crap like that to me!
Everyone at my gym is pretty nice about gettting their sets done or letting people work in with them.
Next time DON'T be nice, tell him how you feel!0 -

I want to drive to your gym...get a membership...just so I can hit him in the face. So rude!0

you should have asked "shouldnt you be at the protologist....having my foot removed from your *kitten*?"
I just love the ones that are so in love with themselves....granted they are not all that way but some just ride on the last nerve.0 -
Too funny! Not the disrespect you were shown!!! Just the scenario.
I recently joined a new gym so that I could have access to more weights. This gym's motto is "Shut up and train".
I was there last Friday evening for my first time with the program the gym's trainer had provided. There were 12 people there tops and the place sounded like a high school auditorium before the Principal walks on stage. Loud to the point that I could barely hear the radio!
No stress for me though. Just thought it was amusing.0 -

Oh, I like this one!
I've had the (sort of) opposite happen and it absolutely made me laugh. I was on a bench, and there were two 70lb free weights on the floor near me, that I couldn't move to put away because I can't pick them up (someone else left them there). Some guy comes up and asks if I'm done with them/if he can have them. I just smiled and said yes, but inside I was thinking "hah, I can't even pick that up off the ground, I wish!"
I suppose people at my gym are generally nice. Most take the attitude of "sweet, a girl lifting weights" rather than "what is she doing here?"0 -
Haha, this is so funny!0
