I've lost 21lbs!!! My goal is 50lbs so I have a bit more to lose but when I first started I didn't think I'd ever see double digits let alone a number begininng with something other than 1.

Big shout out to all my MFP friends. I am so thankful to have you all and appreciate all the support, tough love and advice needed along the way.

To anyone out there feeling like they will never hit 20 (or hit some mark they set for themselves) - just keep at it. I promise you will get there if you stay dedicated, make healthy food choices and take care of your body.

Congratulations on your 21!!! You are so right - I think I've conquered some of my inner demons that were telling me I couldn't do it. Now I know and I'm prepared to do some *kitten* whoppin!

Awesome! It's so motivating to hit goals like that! :)

IIRC, you posted about a lady you kept passing while you were exercising and were going to text her about becoming workout buddies. Did the two of you ever meet up to work out?

oh my goodness - people actually pay attention to me!? :noway:

I did text her but we have very different work schedules so it didn't pan out but I've doing pretty well on my own so far so I will just keep at it. Thanks for asking!

LOL Yep - I paid attention. :flowerforyou:

That stinks that your schedules didn't mesh, but obviously you are doing a great job on your own! Keep up the fantastic work!

Yay!!! I'm so happy for you! I can't wait to get into the double digits especially with a 2 in the front! Seeing that on the scale must have really motivated you. I just wanna say that your posts and encouraging comments have really, really helped me. On Monday I went to a frozen yogurt shop and felt so guilty afterward and I had planned to workout but it was such a crazy day I didn't get the chance. So I was tempted to not track anything and give up, thinking "I can't do this, I should just give up, etc." But then I thought about how THAT is my pattern and why I'm still overweight. I give up too easily! So I tracked everything (just look at Monday's diary) and kept on. And even though yesterday wasn't awesome either, I still counted everything and I could not believe I lost 2 more lbs after those couple days! So ... Sorry this is so long, I just wanted to say that I'm learning a lot about myself and seeing other ppl like you lose and stay motivated keep me in check! Keep it up girl!! :)

You'll get there!! You're doing a great job and even though you may have a bad day here and there - just remember that you've made the decision to better your life and that is a better place to be than where you were before you made that choice. The fact that you recognized a negative pattern and are doing something to change it is HUGE - you should feel very proud of that. Whatever you do - do not give up. I have an inner demon that taunts me all the time and tells me that I am not worth, that I can't jog for another minute, that I can't do this or do that and when it shows up I just have to set my jaw and push myself forward. Eventually that voice won't have a leg to stand on!

I'm proud of you for logging your calories even on the days that you didn't want to. I think that while we are getting our footing in this new lifestyle - that's probably the best thing you can do for yourself.

Let's keep at it girl - we got this!
