My sister in-law urged me to join and I am so glad I did. I only recently started I feel so much better and so much more aware of myself. I am just feeling really positive and hope I could keep this up.

Yes you can! Look around for some amazing success stories.

Most important – this is NOT a "diet website" it is a "change your life website" you are developing eating and exercise habits that will keep you healthier for the rest of your life. So don't adopt a crash starvation diet or mentality. Find good foods that give you satisfaction, and a sustainable eating pattern. Most people will tell you that loss of about a pound a week is the maximum to aim for – best not to start higher than that.

Keep logging and posting, and write it all down and follow the MPF goals and you should see results.

Thank you everyone for the support! After trying to many fad diets in my (short) lifetime I'm ready to accept change rather than make quick fix. I think for me patience is also key so making it a lifestyle change, rather than an "I MUST DO THIS QUICKLY SO I COULD FEEL GOOD." diet will help me get down to my goal and maintain it.

Welcome! It's definitely a journey and not a quick fix. Sounds like you're in the right mindset to start off right  Good luck- feel free to add me if you need some support!
