What is a good gift for a personal trainer?

I know I've already paid her for the personal training sessions but the past 3 weeks she did a bunch of freebies for me and a group of my coworkers for a gym challenge they had going. She also let me save my paid sessions to use later. I want to get her a small gift from the group of us to say thanks but not sure if we should do a gift card to a store or how much? Normally the sessions are $75 paid to the club. I'm sure she doesn't get that much in her pocket but I would think she missed out on some money these past 3 weeks.

I would be careful with this. It could be interpreted as her/him taking money on the side, without it going to the club first. I have known many personal trainers, employed by the YMCA, that have been terminated for this.
Otherwise, $50.00 - $100.00 to a sporting goods store.0 -
A plate of cookies is probably not a viable option.
Good point about the facility not allowing it, you should definitely ask about that first.0 -
If it's allowed, a gift certificate to get APPS or Music downloads. Wouldn't work for me, but I'm an old school trainer. Seems like every trainer I know has a smart phone.

Get her email address if you don't already have it and send her an amazon "gift card". This way you don't have to give it in the club so you don't have to worry about her getting in trouble.0

Around Christmas time, I bring my current trainer and all the trainers in the gym cookies to say thanks... and believe me, trainers love cookies just as much as we do! No one has a problem with it... and in fact, they always ask me to bring more!
I've also seen my trainer handed checks, money and gift cards around the holidays and no one seems to have an issue with it.
Just get a little card from the group, have everyone sign it and slip a gift card or some money in from all of you.. and I'm sure she'll appreciate it!0 -
Thanks! I'll go with a gift card and just slip it into the water bottle with our company logo on it. I like the idea of iTunes she does have a iPhone.0

The general "professional" rule of thumb about gifts is not to accept anything valued at over $20. Homemade gifts are easy because you can easily circumvent the value thing. If you go with a gift card I'd not buy one more than $20. I've had to have the uncomfortable "I can't accept this" conversation before....I felt so bad.0

A gift certificate for a massage is always my favorite gift from clients. Definitely ask at the gym, though, because I have worked at gyms that allow gifts for birthdays and such and other gyms that don't.0
