Any thoughts on how important it is to stay more Alkaline vs. Acidic and any valuable online sources of information and has it worked for you?
Thanks.
Thanks.

It is junk science
Your kidneys and lungs are what determines and regulates blood pH, not food
And urine is suppose to be acidic to kill off bacteria0 -
The body keeps a tight pH balance regardless of what you eat. The stomach is the most acidic environment any food will ever encounter and eating alkaline foods won't change that, but interesting enough all food once digested becomes mostly alkaline. Deviations from our natural 7.4 either way of more than 0.1 can cause acidosis, alkalosis and kidney failure and the body regulates it like I said quite well and the sales pitch for pH body balancers and neutralizers is just that sales pitches with no science to back it up.0

Guess what? Feces are alkaline and urine is acidic. Kind of interesting how the body sorts things out0

very few foods are alkaline, I think seal blubber is lol (read that somewhere many years ago!). Some foods are more strongly acidic than others, but by the time they get into your stomach it makes no difference as stomach acid is a very strong acid, much stronger than vinegar or lemon juice, and like someone said the acidity of the blood is very strongly regulated by the body.
the only people who need to worry are those with some kinds of stomach problems, which may be upset by strongly acidic foods. If you had that problem you'd know about it every time you ate citrus fruit or anything else quite acidic. If they don't give you indigestion then there's nothing to worry about with eating them at all and citrus fruits are full of vitamins, and vinegar is a really good way to liven up salads and other dishes without all the calories.0 -
I appreciate all the input. I'm eating acidic food as I type and glad to know I'm doing it right...thanks so much0
