Has anyone tried peanut flour in place of PB2?

I found it in bulk from NutsOnline.com and it's a lot cheaper than PB2.

I had some this morning in my oatmeal and it was quite good.

There are a few more calories in it than PB2, but still substantially lower than regular peanut butter.

It also has no sugar which I like, being a "former" diabetic ;)

I have not tried either yet, but I did read yesterday from someone else who uses peanut flour instead of PB2. She said it's better for you, too. I don't know how true that is. Does both taste similar to regular peanut butter? I've been curious about both lately.

I mixed 2 tbs of peanut flour with a tbs of water and it wasn't as good as PB2 if you like to eat it that way. It was a bit runny actually, maybe you need a little more as there isn't as much oil in it as PB2 from what I understand.

It's just as good in my oatmeal as PB2 though.

Being from the midwest, I'm going to try breading some fish Friday for our Friday Night Fish Fry here to see how it is, I bet it's loads better than plain old cracker crumbs.
