For those of you who have had their body fat analyzed what did you think of it? I had mine done today and they told me that for my weight and height my body fat is actually not as bad as I thought. I am 5 ft 7 and weight 184 and my body fat was 29.2%. yes I went through full pinching of fat and submersion to get accurate numbers. I was just happy that they said that. Maybe the weight resistence training is paying off, lol

I just got mine done today as well with the calipers and am down to 22%! (I am 5'5", 128 lb) I was very pleased to find this out, as a year ago I was 27.5%, then six months ago 25%, and I finally reached my goal of entering the fit zone instead of average. Free weights made all the difference for me. I would love to reach to 20%, I'd say that would be my optimal goal.

When I first started lifting, I was measured at about the same, 29%. I've only gone down to 27%, but my goal is 18% or under.

I do a lot of distance running now, training for half marathons, but once those are over I am going to start the New Rules of Lifting for Women program, and focus on getting lean.

I totally avoid the body fat hand held devices. They are not accurate. I was told the only true way to measure is the water tank floating test. I'm not about to pay for it so I guess I'll be happy not knowing my body fat. =)

Ya, the handheld machines are deceiving. I knew this already, but decided to do it today for the heck of comparison before my caliper test, and the reading gave me 19%. When I did the calipers it was 22%. False hopes from the handheld! Though I am still pleased with where I stand.
