I don't do insanity, but do some "insanity-esk" exercises, compliments of my trainer who do Insanity.
I RARELY eat lunch out anymore, as it's too difficult to figure out the calories and other nutritional info.
Typically, my lunch bag is packed with:
-Protein: chicken breast or tuna salad, (made from scratch with light mayo)
-Veggies: broccoli, garden salad, or left over veggies
-light string cheese, cottage cheese, almonds, greek yogurt, and/or almonds for snacks
Tyson has a frozen bag of already cooked and seasoned chicken breasts @110cal each - yummy and convenient!0 -
PBJ, cottage cheese, and fruit. Just about every day unless there's supper leftovers.
It may sound boring, but it's nice to have one easy plan-free meal every day. Just slap it together the night before and go.0 -
I need this thread so I will contribute.
I buy the precooked chicken (looks like fajita strips) and add sides. Examples:
Pumpkin Seeds
Fruit
Yogurt
String Cheese
Goldfish Crackers and Laughing Cow Cheese
See...I need ideas too.0 -
always a protein (usually chicken breast or a pork chop or part of a steak - fish doesn't travel well)
and almost always a salad - if you get a good sized container, put the dressing at the bottom, then your veggies (tomatoes, mushrooms, bell pepper, etc.), maybe some sunflower seeds for crunch and B vitamins, and then your greens (spinach whenever possible but sometimes a mix for higher fiber) on top - the greens won't get soggy as the day goes on.
string cheese, hummus and cucumber or zucchini slices, nuts or jerky become snacks for mid-afternoon0 -
Salad mix, one 5 oz can of tuna, a topping or veggie (tortilla strips or tomato), and dressing. Sometimes I throw in a string cheese and/or a fruit. It depends on how many calories I am looking to consume.0

My favorite lunch is something i can make ahead on the weekend and it feeds me all five days. I bake a bone in turkey breast (rubbed in EVOO and herbs) on a bed of veggies (carrots, celery and onion) with dry white white to keep the veggies and turkey moist. This is the recipe I used for the most part: http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/ina-garten/herb-roasted-turkey-breast-recipe/index.html. Then I carve it up and save the skin and carcass to make a turkey stock. So for each lunch I throw some turkey, veggies, some quinoa and some raw kale in a container. Finish it off with an orange for "dessert". YUM!!0

lately iv'e been eating yummy salads. topped with feta cheese, black olives, black or garbanzo beans, green/red peppers, cuclumbers, and even imiatation crab! i love it. i top with some lite ranch dressing, or you can use red wine vinegrette if u want to save on fat and calories, i just prefer a tastier dressing.
I also bring like celery with peanut butter, trail mix, apples, grapes, peaches, baby carrots, beets etc. NOt all of course. But I notice if you pack a healthy lunch before hand (even if it takes a long time to prepare, which mine always does), you will less likely overeat during the day. And the fiber and protein makes me full. hope that helps!!0 -
breakfast: smoothie with almond milk, peanut butter, egg whites, unsweetened protein powder, banana/berries and cottage cheese (to thicken).
snack: 4 oz low sodium deli turkey
lunch: 2-3 cups broccoli, green beans, etc; PBJ sandwich with low glycemic bread (Ezekiel 4:9), organic PB (just ground peanuts), and no-sugar added jelly
snack: edamame with some chicken breast.
Water: lots... I bring sliced lemons and basil to put in it b/c the water at work tastes awful.
Good luck!

Leftovers from the previous night (salad, meat and green vegetables)
Salads topped with grilled steak, chicken, tuna or shrimp0 -
usually leftovers from the night before, particularly since I have a problem with portion control.
When I get feel the need for new ideas I buy a Clean Eating Magazine, it has a two week clean eating plan and I often get good ideas out of it.
For example my favorite recipe from them: two hardboiled egg-whites (chopped), mixed with 2 tbsp hummus, spread on crisp bread, bagel thin or your other favorite type of edible utensil.0
