I log in my strength training as cardio.
MFP says I burn 140 calories if I strength train for 45 minutes. I believe this topic is addressed on a FAQ board. If I remember right, MFP says it is just an estimate, and without a monitor there's no way to really know how many calories an individual burns while strength training. So, even though MFP says I burn 140 calories doing it, I keep in mind that it is just an estimate. Hope that helps!0 -
You have to add that in under cardiovascular exercise. The strength training portion is just to add your sets and reps. It does indeed burn calories, in an intense session I can burn as many calories as I would doing cardio.0
