Wahts your office/work Pet Peeve(s)?
I work in a very large office building and my biggest pet peeve is when people leave their lunches or rather the GARBAGE from their lunch just sitting on a table after the leave. Or not throwing away their wrappers/trash after fixing their meals. I realize we have a cleaning crew that comes in but they arent your mother, you are an adult, so why dont you act like one and pick up after yourself?! ugh drives me nuts.
There. That was my rant. Your turn! lol

People who are constantly negative and complaining all day about their job.0
-
People who leave their lunch or takeout box in the refrigerator and won't claim it. Even after several emails to clean out the fridge, everyone says nothing in there belongs to them.0
-
People who do not possess an 'inside' voice
People who ALWAYS use the speakerphone when we all have low office walls and can already hear each other think
People who don't know the difference between Reply and Reply All.....on emails sent company wide.0 -
People who are constantly negative and complaining all day about their job.
This! and add with that, complaining how much time they have to spend at work and lying...0 -
People that talk all day long and about nothing to do with the job, the employee that can not learn from their mistakes because they are perfect and do not make mistakes and also the crybaby victim who always has a sad excuse or someone else to blame.0

People not replying to emails/IM/text/phone.
Stupid printers breaking down.
Having to force technology to work with you.
The nasty dust accumulated from cubicles + computers + other junk.
Having TOO MANY folders. ARHGH.
Paper... paper... too much paper.
The damn stapler jamming. And jamming. And jamming.
And the new staplers jamming that were ordered to replace the old staplers that were jamming.
The cup o' pens FILLED with pens... that have no ink.
Lovely computer programs completely disappearing or malfunctioning all together.
Office Space is my go to movie. I LOVE when they destroy the copier haha0 -
It drives me insane when colleagues take things out of cupboards and leave the cupboard door open for someone else to close. It's always me who has to close it!
There's this one colleague who constantly interrupts people who are already talking. Grrr.....can't stand it! Just bloody wait for your turn and then speak! "I'm sorry, did the middle of my sentence interrupt the beginning of yours?" :noway:0 -
The people that come in sick as a dog! Thanks man! How did you know I wanted to get sick? GO HOME!0

whenever i ask my coworker a question (and we literally sit 3 feet from each other) she, without fail, replies "whuuuut?" even when i know she CLEARLY heard me.
she also hiccups all the time and never excuses herself to drink water/catch her breath/whatever.
it's the little things that drive you crazy--you know??0 -
Crop dusting.

Mine thinks I am a compulsive eater and keeps making comments on how I've done nothing but eat all day.
She offers unwanted diagnosis of medical problems I don't have (I drink at least 2 litres of water at work, that means I am diabetic, apparently).
She stares at me and then makes comments about my appearance. Apparently my highlights are so awful I should go back and ask for a complete refund.
She asks if I want some of her choc, I say no - so she brings it over and places it on my lunch! She actually opened the foil on my lunch, placed the chocolate on my food and sealed it back up!
She talks AT me about her boring children or her boring friends and then suddenly gets excited about her work the very moment I try to share anything about myself.
I need a new job basically0 -
When your boss (who approves the schedule) will ask where someone is, when its clearly on the schedule that they're off or coming in late. Hello, YOU approved the schedule before it was sent out, it would help if you'd look at it!0

People who don't put their cellphones on vibrate and then leave their desks and no one answers it. I don't want to hear what crappy music choices you have or "clever" ringtone you chose! VIBRATE, dammit!0
-
People who don't pay attention, and ask me questions that I've answered 50x times. STFU!
People who treat the maintenance crew like they aren't human beings.
People who leave their lunch bags in the refrigerator on Fridays over night, and then complain when maintenance throws it away. Not to mention leaving it on a random table/counter.
People who complain about their annual raises. Some people aren't that lucky, shut up.
When I do work above and beyond expectation, and it doesn't even get acknowledged.
When people call my cell phone all night on a day off because they can't do their jobs.
I could go on for days.. let me spare everybody.0 -
I can't STAND laziness. I'm a really hard worker and I find it demotivating when I see others doing close to nothing.
I'm a grad school, and there are two people working in my lab that literally do less in a month than I do in a week. I joined the lab thinking it wouldn't bother me, but oh boy it does!0 -
I don't like when people don't get their crews time cards in on Monday morning! The time card says to have it in before ten am on Monday .. Not 4 pm Tuesday. I wish I could just say if you don't get it in your not getting paid... *sigh*0

I work in a beauty shop as an independent contractor
Pet Peevs
Not keeping their conversation professional to their clients
leaving their dirty color bowls lying about making it hard for you to clean up yours
complaining behind the owners back then nice to their face
snacking constanly on the floor, not doing their share of clean up.
biggest one is using my stuff and not putting it back, or I run out of product cause someone didn't plan ahead,or offer to fess up using it or replacing it. They don't have to pay for it..inconciderate..I now have to lug my stuff back and forth to keep anything.
THERE! I FEEL BETTER!! Thanks for this post!0 -
the people who really grate me are the people who leave their dirty pots in the sink even though we have a dishwasher!!!
So lazy!
My other pet peeve is when something breaks and it's nothing to do with you...but you still get asked by EVERYONE when it's going to be fixed!! Experienced this recently!0 -
People who take the piss, in my last place of work there was 2 guys and me, they were constantly off sick (hungover) or just didn't bother coming in leaving me to do the majority of the work which I dont mind because I work hard but they should pull their weight!! On top of their holidays they had at least another 4 days a month where they just wouldn't be there and when they were there they were useless I just felt like screaming 'DO SOME WORK!!!'0

Thank You! I work with 40 guys and everyday after lunch I feel like their Dad, because I have to keep telling them to pick up their trash............and they're MILITARY! you'd thinnk they were better trained lol0 -
People who think aspects of their job are beneath them. I worked in a supermarket and didn't like disposing of the waste any more than the next person but too many folk thought they were too good to do jobs like that!
It's what you're paid for! Get it done!!!0 -
Lovely computer programs completely disappearing or malfunctioning all together.
I write computer programmes and one of mine is....
When users ring you every 2 minutes to ask when the programme will be fixed and back up and running - get off the damn phone and let me fix it and it'll be twice as quick!! I will call YOU when it's working again!
And my office is freezing cold...it's a lovely summers day outside therefore the air con must be on full, my wardrobe is backwards I have to wear winter woolies in the summer and summer clothes in winter because then the heaters turned on so hot you cant breathe just because its raining!0
