  • That's awesome! Did you listen to a podcast or anything? How'd you know when to run/walk?

    OK I did it! Just finished D2!:bigsmile: :bigsmile: :bigsmile:

    I have to say that today was harder than the first. I did make sure to stretch real good before, so that made it bearable. It is cold here, so I wore a hoodie, not the greatest idea I guess. I'm still hot and I already showered, LOL. O well, I'm so proud of myself I don't even care!

    I feel a little high, if that makes sense. I mean I wanted to die out there in the road, but at the same time I couldn't give up no matter how much the little devil on my shoulder told me too. Does that sound crazy???:ohwell:

    not at all, i know exactly how you feel!

    Its techno, reminds me of when I was at my hottest and could stay out dancing all night long. That probably has something to do with my motivation as well!

    I am exhausted! OMG, I almost couldn't make it thru calss tonight.:ohwell: I am going to sleep like a baby tonight!!!!

  • The cider mill sounds fun, Wannabe! Hope it's not raining for you later, but if it is, I say go for it anyway...

    Hey everyone, its monday which means its time to start week 2! is everyone excited?? i'm just excited that i finished week 1 without dying, lol! i've gotten a better sports bra so hopefully this week will be more comfortable lmao!

    so how is everyone feeling after last week? looking forward to this week? anything you want to do differently this week then you did last week? for those of us weighing in, how did the scale treat you this morning?

    ~~~~~~~~~~
    I'm really looking forward to this week, i'm enjoying this a lot more then i thought i would! this week i'm going to try and stay more on track with my food. i'm so weak when it comes to things that are bad for me like nanimo bars, chips, pop ect. and i had an uhoh day last week and ate stuff i shouldn't have. so my goals for the week are to do my running 3 days and to eat better!
    i stepped on the scale this morning and it decided to be nice to me today. i'm down 2lbs from last week!! :smile:
  • I just did D1 of W3, but wanted to comment about W2... I liked W2 better than W1 because there were fewer intervals of running and also my body was beginning to adjust and I didn't feel sore or have hurt ankles and knees anymore. In fact, by D3, I hit some kind of stride where the running was not difficult at all. :happy:
    Hey, everyone! I hope everyone is doing ok. I am going to have to start over. LOL! I did D1 and D2, but never did D3. I think I will start again on Monday and actually do it this time. I will still check in with everyone and see how you guys are doing. Just to put my 2 cents in... I went for my Wellness Works evaluation Tuesday and I was down to 210. :smile: Have fun, everybody!
    Edit: My scale is not right. My starting post said I was at 206. I don't know what I was really at. When I first joined MFP about 6, 7 weeks ago, I was at 217. Just sayin'. LOL
    good morning everyone!
    how did everyone do last week? hows it going so far this week? how is everyones weightloss?
    i've been having a really hard time with the running, at first it wasn't bothering me to much but my knees have been killing me. its hurting to even walk. i only did 2 days last week and didn't go out yesterday. my mom sister and i have been going outside and walking or playing tennis though. soon as i run my knees start killing me and they buckle up. i'm not impressed.
    as for the weightloss, i'm the same as last week. i did have a cheat day last week and we had thanksgiving dinner sunday which meant leftovers yesterday...so i didn't figure i'd lose much or anything. oh well its a new week and another chance to get rid of some lbs!
  • Hi Tara,
    I started the C25k on 9/28 to go along with this thread, but I've been following the other C5K thread (the one that's titled "C25k we start Monday" or something) as well. You should check out that thread as there are many people in various stages. Some are just starting W1, others are about to finish W9. But it's been very encouraging to me b/c the other posters will say things like "yes, that is how I felt, on W2, and I can't believe I am now able to run for 5 mins," etc. Also they have lots of tips on things like hurting knees and ankles.... You should hop over there and tell them about your knees... I bet they have good advice.
  • Hi everyone. I haven't been on in a while. Had some issues, not working out the past week. I've been having some intense headaches and extremely bad periods. Mt last TOM knocked me out for 3 full day and I still don't feel right. I wanted to see an endochrinologist, but my doc wants me to see a neurologist for my headaches first. Sorry I haven't been around to support you guys. Hope you are all doing well. I have every intention of starting over as soon as I can see straight and find some energy.
    Wow! i hope between the neurologist and the endochrinologist you're able to get some answers. it has to be frustrating to not know whats going on. hopefully you figure it out soon! Don't worry about being around to support anyone, work on getting some answers and taking care of yourself!!
    Hey everyone, happy monday!!
    how did everyone do last week? how did the scale treat you this morning?
    i haven't been running because of my knees. i've been having a really hard time with it. i have been getting out and walking at least 3 nights a week though.
    the scale wasn't that great, i've gained so i wasn't to happy this morning. but i had a major pig out weekend. we had company over, and i honestly didn't think before putting anything in my mouth. so its my own falt and i'm starting fresh again today!!
