what should i be aiming for when exercising, ive just done some powerwalking 3 miles and after i finished i took my heartrate was 120, im 24 what should i be aiming for to burn fat?

I just looked this up yesterday. The most commonly suggested range for exercise is 70-85% of 220-age. The 220-age is the maximum heart rate (estimated) for your age. Ideal excercise range is 70-85% of your max.
So for you... 220-24= 196 max bpm, exercise range 137-167 bpm.

thanks the dvd i was doing is low impact so wouldnt expect to get to my max hr but thanks for the info0
