I always do mine fasted and eat after. I find I am sluggish and feel like hell if I have anything before my workout aside from liquids.

Try it and see what works for you.

I find I cope better with a long run if I have coffee and a light breakfast (usually toast with peanut butter) first.
For shorter runs, it doesn't make much difference - if my husband is home I'll have a coffee and some fruit with him before I go, but if I'm on my own (like this week) I'm more likely to just get up and go.

I run fasted. That is not because I thing there is an advantage, for training or weight loss or other, but because I run 1st thing in the morning and if I eat before the run I feel sick.

Outside of personal preference there's at least some evidence that fasted cardio MAY help already-lean individuals with fatty acid mobilization.

For people who are not already lean, it's really not going to make any difference.

I would let personal preference dictate whether or not your cardio is fasted or fed.

I just asked this question to Sidesteal yesterday. I'll read both those articles. I suppose I should actually eat at a deficit for a while before complaining that I can't lose fat...

Like Sidesteal says, if you are already somewhat lean and trying to close the gap to lower the bf%, then it makes a difference. Otherwise it doesn't. In my case, I do it to improve the process of fat mobilization, transport, and oxidation but I am already somewhat lean looking to get leaner.

A pretty interesting article sent to me by a friend in Oz regarding fat-loss cardio vs fitness cardio. If you are trying to drop the lbs. fasted cardio seems like a pretty good idea!
