8 Week Training!!!

Hey folks!
I am just about to start weight training, and I wanted to share my story here - and then post progress as I go!!
Let me just tell you my story...
I have been all the way up to nearly 12 stone at one point, and now I am 9st 4.4lbs (as if 20th May 2012)
I did a big ol' weights regime to get down to this weight, and for the past few weeks I have been running due to the fact that I put a bit of weight on over my birthday and my sisters wedding etc and its the quickest way for me to lose weight.
So!! I have 8 weeks until my little sisters birthday, where she is having a massive garden party with a hot tub etc etc - so, I want a properly good bikini body! I am determined!!
The guy at the gym who taught me my weights regime first time around is coming back in to help me, and I have given him 8 weeks to try and transform my body! I am eating relatively clean, low carb, high protein (check my diary if you wish!!) and I am hell bent on doing this properly. I know I have a couple of nights out when I will be drinking in that period of time, but there is only 2 - and in 8 weeks that aint too bad!
So! I will keep you all updated with my workouts and progress pics etc!

Well done I was 12st 7 last year and got down to 9st 6, but few pounds are creeping back on!.. I'm trying to get to 9st 3 to finish my Wii Fit game! my original goal date was June 6 (my birthday!) to get from 12st 7 (same date last year) to 9st 7 by my next birthday this year.
p. s. I'd be happy if my tummy was as flat as yours is now!0 -

Aww thank you - I just want a lot more definition in my tummy area and I'd be WELL happyWell done I was 12st 7 last year and got down to 9st 6, but few pounds are creeping back on!.. Wow! Well done for your weight loss! I let a few creep back on over the last month or so, but then I knuckled down again and got them back off!! You'll do it by June!! xx0 -

Hey Folks!
So I went to the gym this morning and trained my chest/arms!!
What I've figured out is that my left arm is waaaayyy weaker than my right arm, so I am going to train my left every day at home with a dumbbell and try and get it to match.
I've also decided to do 100 leg raises every night before bed!
Might go for a run tonight if I have time...buttt I'm going out for dinner (having steak and veggies mmmm) so I mayyy not have enough time to get in a run.
Doing abs and back tomorrow... looks like a deadlift or 2 are coming my way!

Day 2:
Last night I went out to dinner with my friends and had a yummy steak! Took the chips off of my plate and replaced them with Salad and peas! Check me!! I felt like I could still go for a run last night, but I just didn't have time.
I went to the gym this morning and did 40 mins of pure ab/oblique work, and threw in 3 sets of squats on the Smith machine too!
I love a good ab workout - and I know spot reducing can't happen, but I love feeling like I've done something that will take me on that journey to gorgeous abs!!
I am going out for dinner with a friend tonight (I know I know, check me!!) and he will try and force me to eat a dessert, but I want to be really good and say no!! So we'll see how that goes!! I've chosen sea bass with salad and veg as my main, so hopefully I will stay on the right track!!

Day 3: So last night I went to my friends house! But the bloody plans changed to a BBQ! Soooo, instead of having 3 or 4 rolls like I used to, I had one bread roll, and the rest just meat and salad. And a tiny bit of cheesecake (oops!!)
I planned on going to the gym this morning - but I woke up at 6:30 like always and my quads were KILLING me! Like properly really hurting like I couldn't walk hurting! So I didn't go to the gym today :-(
I've spent all day trying to stretch my legs out... and I am going to go the gym and do some upper body stuff and help my mate out tomorrow morning. So hopefully I'll be OK... we'll see!
I haven't done my leg lifts today because my legs are just hurting too much... booooo!!

Day 4: Went back to the gym this morning (yayy!!) And did the following:
- Bench press (smith machine) - did this slightly lighter as my left shoulder is still a touch sore
- Dumbbell press (gradient on bench) - 6kgs each hand
- 5 x 10reps ab machine - 15kgs
- Squats using smith machine - 3 x 10
- Russian Twist with 5kg disk
- Various ab work outs on the mat.
I spent around 45-50 mins in the gym this morning...
And I'll do my leg lifts before bed0 -
Day 5:
So... as some of your may have seen, I went on quite a large sweet tooth binge last night!
And you know why...because there was noone in the house! Talk about secret eater!!
Anyways, I did 150 leg lifts last night before bed (makes up for some of the ones I missed when I was in pain!!)
This morning (feeling much better), I went to the gym and did;
-Bench Press (smith machine), 6.5kgs on either side + bar
-Chest Press (radiant machine), 3 x 10reps, 5kgs each arm
-Single Leg Press (machine), 3 x 10reps(each leg), 30kgs
-Squats (smith machine), 5 x 10reps - 7.5kgs either side + bar
-Lateral Pull Downs (machine), 5 x 10reps, 25kgs
-100 x V crunches
Anddd I think that's about it for today (so far) I'm thinking of getting a run in after work but that completely depends on whether I fancy sitting out in the sun later.
Determined to eat better today - yesterday was just an strange one!!!0 -

Day 5 (cont.):
So I've eaten much much better today :-D
I went to the gym after work and ran for 25 mins - and it made me feel loadddss better.
Had a yummy salmon salad for dinner!!

Day 6: Hey guysss! I went to the gym this morning and stayed for an hour :-)
This is what I did....
Ran for 5mins (warm up)
Bench Press (smith machine) - 3 x 10reps - 7.5kgs on either side + bar
Leg Press - 3 x 10reps - 70kg
Lateral Pull Down - 3 x 10 reps - 25kg
Squats (smith machine) - 5 x 10 reps - 7.5kgs on either side + bar
Bicep Curls - 3 x 10 reps - 6kgs each hand
Ran for 5mins
In between every set of exercises, I did 3 x 10 V crunches - soooo that's 150 in total
Tonight we had all of the family over, and they all had wraps and pizza and crisps and whateverrrr - but I waited for the chicken drumsticks to cook and had them with salad! Yay!! I did eat like 8 of them though..... oh well Still under on cals :-D and still feeling gooooood!
Still got leg lifts to do tonight, and they'll get done - dont you worry0 -

Day 7: Woaah, has it been a week already?
Today I decided to take a rest day. I had a meeting this morning and spent the rest of the day lazing around in the garden.! I washed my car too so that's some exercise right? :P
My mum has gone on holiday this week, so this means there is no rubbish food in the house! I should do pretty well this week - yay!!

Day 8: So today I went to the gym and it was more of the same
3 x 10 Bench Press on Smith machine - 8.75kgs on either side plus bar
3 x 10 V crunches
5 x 10 squats on Smith machine - 8.75kgs on either side plus bar
3 x 10 V crunches
3 x 10 bicep curls - 8kg dumbbell each hand
3 x 10 V crunches
3 x 10 leg press - 70kgs
3 x 10 V crunches
3 x 10 lat pull down - 30kgs
3 x 10 V crunches
And leg lifts still to do x0 -
Day 9:
5 x 10 squats on Smith machine - 8.75kgs on either side plus bar
3 x 10 V crunches
3 x 10 bicep curls - 8kg dumbbell each hand
3 x 10 V crunches
3 x 10 tricep dips
3 x 10 V crunches
3 x 10 tricep pull downs (radiant machine)
3 x 10 V crunches
3 x 10 chest press (radient machine) 2.5kgs each hand - keeping light until I've got the technique right
And I did 100 V crunches tonight

3 x 10 V crunches
3 x 10 bicep curls - 8kg dumbbell each hand
3 x 10 V crunches
3 x 10 tricep pull downs (radiant machine) - 10kgs
3 x 10 V crunches
3 x 10 chest press (radient machine) 2.5kgs each hand - keeping light until I've got the technique right
3 x 10 V crunches
3 x 10 Lat pull downs - 30kg
3 x 10 V crunches

I wasn't really feeling it this morning, so unmotivated. I think its because I got woken up a few times in the night with the bf leaving for work and then other people in the house leaving for work early.
And I had a pretty rubbish eating day too. I had meetings all morning so when I got back into the office it was practically lunch time. I had my chicken salad but then I properly got the munchies in the afternoon - and scoffed a load of biscuits. I ate some biscuits as well yesturday after my salad lunch. I just dont think a salad is filling enough for me to get by on until dinner. Next week I am going to have to switch up my lunches again, to find something that is going to fill me up!
Will do 100 v crunches or leg lifts tonight :-) xx0 -
Okay - So I stopped writing on here because it was getting very same old same old.
I'm generally still doing the same things every day! But ive added in some interval training at the end of every workout :-)0
