I am in the same position, I have a bowl sititng behind me filled with every fun size candy bar, chips, nutty bars and bite size twizzlers. When I get up to get one, I stop and ask myself do I really need this. This is a real issue for me also, so good luck to you.0

I feel your pain! There's always tons of sweets where I work. I give myself 15 minutes to decide whether or not I actually want to eat it, and if i do after the 15 minutes passes then I allow myself one bite and keep it movin'.0

I have worked in an office for 5 years. Luckily, I work with mostly men. They eat all the food/treats before I can even get to them. They are great garbage disposals. So yes, work with men and they will eat all of your food.0

It all comes down to willpower. My admin, who sits near me, always has a bowl of chocolates on her desk. I am also almost daily confronted with muffins and pastries from meetings. Honestly, you just have to learn to say no. It is about how badly you don't want to be overweight vs. the couple seconds of pleasure you'll get from eating whatever the item is.
Just say no!0 -
I sit at a place where we sell all these delicious snacks. Chocolate and sugary things. I make sure I came into work pretty full with good foods and sit with a bag of carrots or sliced sweet peppers and munch on those instead at work. It seems to help me a lot.0

I make sure I have soemthing healthy to eat - such as low far yoghurts, or fruit. There are too many temptations in the office for me to go in un-armed!0

As we speak, there is a box of donuts outside of my cube. Just think of all the working out you need to do to burn that off. 300 calories for a donut if not more? No thanks. I'll pass.0

I like to snack on celery, carrots and laughin cow cheese0

Keep a bottle of water or diet/low-cal drink nearby. Every time you feel hungry/start craving, drink up! Crystal light does the trick for me.0

I have a snack drawer of my own with preportioned packs of raw almonds, dried apples, 100 calorie dark chocolate squares, Lara bars and cocoa roasted almonds. I also bring containers with cut up fresh fruit and veggies each day. That way I'm not tempted to eat the donuts and pastries at work because I have so many great (and properly portioned) options of my own to choose from!0

I stock up on greek yogurts, cheese strings, almonds, high protein snacks that are good for you.. and make sure to keep a big bottle of water..0 -
I stay away from the temptation. I won't even go look at it or I'll pick it up. My own snacks are low-cal (fruit twists are 60 calories and give me a bit of sweetness when I want it or I like the 100 calorie ritz for something salty). I stock up on snacks in my lunch and eat those.0

I gave myself a challenge to not eat anything from the candy dishes or the extra goodies for a month and now I'm not nearly as tempted.
It also really helps when I have tracked my planned food for the day and see how many calories I will be consuming. It sure helped when my coworker offered me bagels today, or when the Popcorn of the month tin comes in every month, or the sweets from Jordan. I figure there will always be temptations around and I needed to just start saying no, all the time.
Every once in awhile I will eat something. But not from the candy jar that is there all the time. The sweets from Jordan? I allowed myself one.
I guess what I'm saying is be conscious of what you are putting in your mouth. Practice saying no thank you. Or my coworker's favorite, No thank you, I won't. Challenge yourself to go a week without the extra treats. If that is too long, then a day, then another day. Reward yourself for not eating the treats. I gave myself a dollar a day during that one month.
Good luck!0 -
