Geek Pride Day

Hunh, I thought it was March 14th (pi day) (http://www.piday.org/).
Or maybe Cheese Weasel Day on April 3rd (http://cheeseweaselday.com/)!
Then again, I love being a geek so the more times to celebrate, the better.
Happy Geek Day, then!0 -

My husband is the ultimate geek, and I love him for it.0

We just had 'May the 4TH be with you'. Why are our holidays so close together?
So we can party before the sun gets too strong and burns our pasty "don't see the light of day; just light of LEDs" skin.0 -
I read that as "Greek Pride Day" and immediately thought of gyros, spanakopita, yiaourtlou, moussaka, baklava, and tiropites.
I may or may not be hungry. Don't you dare judge me.0 -
Geekery is too mainstream these days when everyone games, reads comics and plays on the computer. Hardcore geeks need to reclaim their geek credentials. You should at least code! Or, say, be a technology journalist...
*packs bags* not geeky enough for this thread :sad:0 -
Hubby and I are already celebrating by playing video games and rereading The Hobbit respectively. :bigsmile:0

Naw, but maybe a LAN party it's too bright outside!0 -
I got a 30.4428% - Total Geek on the test. I'd also like to add that I think anyone who puns deliberately should get points for that. And a 500 piece puzzle? Come on. I could do one of those in a day. I prefer the 2000-3000 range (I'd like bigger, but can't afford them and lack the space required).

I'm thinking us IT Geeks, and all Geeks, should get the day off paid. Plus officially sponsored movie marathons of the extended cut Lord of the Rings movies, micro-brews, and pizza. Then tomorrow we regret the whole thing after seeing out calorie intake and hit the gym.
