I lost 25 pounds so far and lost 30 before I started mfp, so all together I lost 55 pounds. Whats killing me is it seems its taking forever to get down to the next size. SO am I gonna be like this forever? This is discouraging. I hate my body. I hate that I got this freakn fat. I work out to 2 dvds now. And I always keep busy through the day. Idk, just feeling hopeless. I feel like its never gonna go away n I will be stuck in this fat body forever.

I understand that wanting to see more change, get to the next size, etc. I'm quite large, have a lot of weight to lose, and I find I'm impatient to see changes and I'm not yet. I know I'll have to lose quite a bit for it to be noticable, at least for me. All I can tell you is to be determined, don't let stuff like this sidetrack you, and come here a lot, there is sooo much motivation and support here! I know this seems like small, insignificant advice but you just need to hang in there. Tomorrow or maybe the next day you'll feel differently. Trust that many of us know exactly how you're feeling, we're in much the same boat, and we care :flowerforyou:

Hey hun! I am sorry you've hit this sticking point. I know it is easier said than done, but don't give up on yourself. You WILL break through and make it the rest of the way. I was stuck at the same weight (241 lbs) for what seemed like forever. But just keeping at it and making tweaks to both my diet and my exercise routines eventually won out. (And the support of the folks on my MFP friends list was irreplacable!!!!!!) Granted I am just barelt below that plateau now, but I can see that more is comming off.

Try changing up your exercise routine. If you are currently doing moderate intensity, long duration aerobics try replacing it with high intensity anaerobic exercise. If you are not currently doing it, try adding lifting to the mix! Also, analyze your diet. Do you see any patterns? For me, the main problem was weekends. I would do great during the week and the sabatoge my efforts Friday night - Monday morning.

Also, for a while, try focusing on perfomance goals rather than weight//size goals. Achieving those goals will give you something to take pride in and will likely respark your motivation. And chances are, while you are not paying attention, the weight will start to come off again!

I hope this helps. Feel free to friend me. I'm always willing to listen, give some support, or (at least try) to give advice! Good luck and, please, don't give up on yourself!

Great advice, Michael. (He said it way more eloquently than I would have) Just hang in there, set other goals and remember a lot of us are in this.

Breathe in and out! Set small goals such as water intake or protein intake daily. I also set goals for water by x time. As far as losing weight/sizes, I totally understand. My shirt size has gone down but my pant size isn't budging much.

It takes time though. My pants feel looser daily.

Don't get discouraged. It took me 75 lbs to go down one size but only another 15 lbs to go down one more. I am hoping by 100 lbs total I will be down another (although since only about 9 lbs away likely not). The more you lose the faster you will go through those sizes. Just keep your eye on the prize at the end and stick to a method that you can maintain for life.

One thing you can try is upping strength training. You might be able to see more results if you up your muscle mass. Just an FYI that isn't always scale friendly. Muscle and fat weigh the same but muscle takes up less space. So if you get rid of fat and get muscle it might not show much of a loss on the scale but the clothes will fit better.

    I agree...Great advice Michael.

Change up your routine, do your videos that you like but maybe add jogging, or swimming. One day work on strength training with 1min cardio breaks every couple of minute.
Dont give up thou! I feel like its taking for ever for me too and I have had injuries where I couldnt work out or had to find alternitive methods. Example i dislocated my ankle so I would "chair-ercise"
I was stuck at the same weight for 2months but eventually it will move!
Dont weigh yourself everyday. I try every other week or so...and remember muscle weights more than fat!

Good luck hun I wish you the best!

I feel the same way and I get so discourage sometimes because I think that it isn't meant for me to be small. It is to the point no that I do not want to really go anywhere because I hate how people look at me. I have not bought me any new clothes because I know deep down that I am going achieve my goal. I am trying hard not to give up because I really need this and I hope that you too will also get over this hump.

Thank you Michael fro the advice. I am doing the one cardio almost everyday, then I started cardio with strength training mix. One is 30 minutes and the other is 40. I just started the 40 minute one like 2 weeks ago n I am slowly working my way into it. I do both though. I drink plenty of water, I eat my protein. Its just waiting for the next size to come off. I am not giving up, just getting a sense of hopelessness. I am more moodier than what I use to be and even though I workout everyday I am still stressed. I burn about 800-1200 cals a day. I try to keep moving for the most part. I look in the mirror and think this is never going away. When I dont work out to videos, I do my resistance band for my arms. I do crunches, leg lifts, just Idk.
