Hill running...How do you record it?

Hi folks! Let me start off by saying I do not have a Fitbit or anything to record how many calories I burn.
Now to my question: What would be the best way to record running hills? Today I ran about five minutes to get to a hill that was about 130 yards long with a grade that was mostly about 45 degrees, with about a 15 yard stretch that was about 60-70 degrees. I ran up and down this hill four times, doing a set of pushups at the bottom, for a total of about 13 minutes. It then took me about seven minutes to run back and I then ran a little farther for a few extra minutes. So, I ran a total of 17 minutes at about a 12 min/mile pace and then the 13 minutes of running the hill.
I recorded the 17 minutes as running at a 12 min/mile pace and then the 13 minutes of hill running as running stairs since there was no option for running hills. I was going to go with the mountain climbing or backpacking, but since I was running, I thought maybe running stairs would be closer. What do you think, besides the fact that I should get a Fitbit, which I probably will do in the near future.
Thanks!

Thanks Ward! It was a good one.
Can I say without being sappy that you are a good inspiration! If I don't feel like working out, I just think of you and other men and women in similar situations that are still out there getting exercise however they can and it makes me think I have no reason not to get out there.
Thank You!0 -
I use the runkeeper app on my phone and it does track incline and I'm pretty sure it's calculated into your calorie burn.0

^^ This. I use Strava for Android. It records calories, pace and amount of climb for hill work. Good luck!0 -
Hmmmm. Maybe I'll have to get with the times and get a smart phone. I still have a "dumb" phone. LOL
Thanks guys!0
