how to log foods with marinades?

If you make chicken or something, and marinade it, how do you log it? I was going to log each ingredient, but I'm not actually eating all the marinade.

    One suggestion I saw was to weigh the marinade before and after adding and removing the items to be marinaded.

    I figure what is actually on my plate. If i eat a small piece of meat i usually use a tablespoon of marinade, or sauce or gravy.

    I make sure to measure how much I'm using and then divide that by however many servings I had.
