I got some good ideas from http://www.smoothieweb.com/. The layout is a little funny, but they have some tasty ideas. Now I just add some raw spinach to my fruit smoothies and make it a green smoothie. You really can't taste the spinach with all the other fruit in there. Good luck!

My favorite - and as of right now my only - green smoothie consists of the following:

    2 c baby spinach
    1 banana
    1 c mango
    1/2 c dry oatmeal (cooked)
    1 c water

You taste more of the mango than anything else. The spinach and oats have the fiber, protein and carbs to get my day started. The vitamins are absolutely amazo

Frozen berries and almond milk and fresh spinach. I don't usually measure, just toss and blend. You can pretty much add spinach to any favorite smoothie

I have a green smoothie with beet greens. Not sure if that is appealing to you. If so, message me and I will share.

Glad you asked this question -- I've been looking for the same thing. I would never have thought to put oatmeal in a smoothie. Mango's not real plentiful where we live, but I have a feeling strawberries or peaches would be a good substitute! Thanks!

Here is the Green Smoothie that I make on the weekend.

    BANANA BEETS N’ GREENS SMOOTHIE

makes 1 big smoothie or 2 small smoothies

    Ingredients:

    1 banana, frozen, peel removed
1 large or 2 small golden beets, peeled
1 cup tightly packed beet greens, stems removed
    1 cup almond milk
    1 T ground flax seeds
    1 T nut butter
    1/2 tsp cinnamon
    about 3-5 ice cubes

    Instructions:

Add all ingredients to blender, and puree until smooth. Scrape sides as needed. When it’s done, there should be no little pieces of leaves floating around- it will be completely smooth.

Pour into drinking container of choice. Enjoy!
