Better luck this week, right?
I'm only down 0.5 a stinkin' pound. . . so now at 146.3 lbs.0 -
Don't feel bad. I made the mistake of stepping on the scale and it said I gained 5lbs. The next day it said I lost 5lbs. I can go months without losing a single pound then all of a sudden lose 6. The scale is evil.0

Glad you're back. Here's to a better week!
I'm down to 143.6 which is nice after being almost flat the week before. I must be on the every-other week weight loss plan. :laugh:0 -
Hello All,
I am sad to report that i have gain *5* pounds...not sure if its "time of the month related" or Saturday and Sunday's bad choice of food intake...but the weight gain was before sat and sunday...i feel so bloaded and swollen...i have been drinking my water, about 8 cups, and NOT eating at night...
THis is a new week and hopefully i will see the scale go the other way...i feel very discourage by my results...
ANY help to what should i do to help with my weigh loss? I have been staying with in my fat and calorie intake...1200 cal. and 40 fat....that is what the website provided me with. I am aiming for 2 pounds weigh loss a week....
ANY suggestions is greatly appreciated!0 -
Hi all, took me awhile to find the thread. Like I said last week wasn't so grand as I gained a pound. I'm trying to get back on board this week and lose again. My main problem is fitting in exercise.... here's to a great week. Maybe we should have an exercise related challenge? Falhaone what does your exercise schedule look like? That might shed some light on whats going on.
Have great week everyone.0 -

i am on week 3 of the couch to 5k...and that is interval jogging/walking 1.5 minutes (jogging) and 2 minutes (walking fast pace)... with 5 minutes of warm ups and 5 minutes of cool down...for a total of 30 minutes 3 times a week.
i have no idea what my problem is..any suggestions would be helpful...
falhaone
here is my food diary for Tuesday if that would help..

Falhaone,
When I started doing run well jog/walk intervals I gained 5lbs. My legs felt like lead. You sometimes will gain weight starting a new exercises especially if it is more intense than before. Don't fret it will come off. Also you may need to scale down to 1.5 pounds or 1400 calories instead of 2lb per week. Or it could just be TOM bloating, weather change (congestion) etc.
hope this helps.:flowerforyou:0 -
Ivykivy,
I hope it is me gaining mass and not fat...i upped my calorie intake to about 1400 calories and will try that for a while, maybe 2 weeks and it that doesn't go well then i have no idea what else to do.
Thanks for your help.

Where is everyone?? Falhaone it sounds like you could indeed be building muscle mass if you're new to working out. If so it will your metabolism will boost and you'll soon start losing again. You're doing great so far as eating, eg. not starving yourself etc... I'm sure you will start losing again soon. :-)
As for me.... I'm still struggling with exercise motivation... I'm sounding like a broken record. I've recently bought a hot tub and I feel like making a rule that I'm not allowed to go in it unless I've exercised that day0 -
what happened to the group? Are we posting else where w/o my acknowledgement?
I am happy to report that i weighed myself and i am down 2 of the 5 pounds i gained!!! I also finished my monthly cycle...so it could have been that plus muscle mass and probably the horrable food choices i made durning my cycle. However, i am happy and back on the wagon. I have upped my calories...i think i mentioned that in the last post...but i feel better eating 1400 calories than eating 1200 and then binging on something becasue i am still hungry.
my exercise routine for yesterday was: c25k (w3d2) morning, biggest loser bootcamp (level one) afternoon, and Wii sport ( tennis, baseball, and boxing) in the evening. I am so sore today but will do the elliptical since i haven't in a while...
Thanks to everyone who has help me...i really appricate it!!:flowerforyou:

you are too funny! I would choose the hot tub over the exercise...but maybe you can motivate yourself by telling yourself...if you walked for 20 minutes today you can get in the tub to relax the muscles you worked....that's an idea/motivation..but not sure it will help you.
btw, are you eating all your calories and fat? ..because i heard that even though you don't exercise you will still lose weight, not much but something,...maybe you are eating foods with high in sodium...
take care and keep me posted.0 -
Falhaone, Glad you lost some of the weight. for me PMS equals 6 pounds. I think I'm just going to put the scale on ebay. Actually I put it so far under my dresser that I'm actually gonna have to lay on the floor to get it. Scale liberation!
Greatdanewalker, Maybe you can get a hot tub treadmill? That would be awesome.0 -
A hot tub treadmill would be awesome...but honestly it's so hot in there... all you can bear to do is sit :-) Thanks for the ideas falhaone! I'm glad you're losing again! I don't have any problems getting in at least a 1/2 hour walk everyday with my dog...it's the muscle building that I need to work on. And yes, I do eat quite a bit of sodium.... I'll try this week to cut back and see what happens.
Have a lovely weekend everyone:happy:0 -

Ivykivy,
Thanks for your support! I had no idea that pms would lead to too much weight gain...i was also obsessed with the scale and had my daughter hide it until i need it...next Wednesday...so even if i beg i can't have it....but your tactic is funny..you have to work for the scale...lol
Greatdanewalker,
I had a problem with sodium and now i am fine...i do find some thing really salty...mostly processed foods, deli meat, turkey bacon, or soups in the can (or packed). I don't prefer them anymore. if i do eat them i'll feel swollen the next day...ugh.
If you do eat a lot of sodium....wash, wash it down with water..to flush out your system...
Hope that helps, and Good luck on your exercise.0 -
