I am thinking of going to maintenance soon. I want to continue and up my lifting but I'm struggling a little with lifting as hard as I'm trying on 1450 a day. My maintenance tdee is around 2000-2300 a day depending on exercise. (I have a body media fit)
What I was wondering is anyone that's gone to maintenance, did you gain ? Did you continue losing? What happened when you upped to maintenance.
Any indications would be great

I continued to lose weight following MFP's daily calorie allotment for maintenance. So, I increased my calories from 1440 to 1530 and the weight loss stopped. Unfortunately for me, this is very low and difficult to sustain. However, I exercise 6 days a week and average between 400-600 exercise calories per day. This includes at least three days of strength training. I exercise for the health benefits and the bonus is I get to eat more.

    Good luck!

You will gain a few lbs, it wont be fat though just water and glycogen mainly.
I gained about 3-4lbs last time i went on maintenance calories, and remand at the same level of weight, give or take a lb here or there, due to daily weight fluctuations.

If you're worried about jumping up to your supposed TDEE, slowly increase calories by a hundred each week until you find a happy medium.

Last year during July when I went to San Diego to visit friends and attend Comic-Con I upped to maintenance and ate somewhat bad. Still dropped 7 lbs. Drank mostly water and walked a lot. This was in the span of 2 1/2 weeks.

This. Although, when I tried to figure out my maintenance, I gave it a good month at specific calorie levels to assess changes in my weight (my body weight can shift week to week because of TOM or water weight). It took me a while, but I now have a very good handle on my average TDEE.
