As I said....I need a routine!!!! What's yours? I've been renting workout DVDs from the library so I've been doing a different one every AM workout for the past two weeks. I think I need to just pick one and go with it for a week... but I'd like to bring in weights/strength training. So what's your routine.... M-W-F 30 min cardio / T-T Weights ~ M-T 40 min cardio / W-F weights... I'm just not sure what kind of routine to do. Where to start....

For me, variety = sucess! I have a long list of exercises that I can pick from according to my mood and energy level. Some are high impact, low impact, more stretching or strength building, or sporting! One thing I have added recently was kettlebells. They are much more fun to me than weight machines at the gym, you can do them t home, there are hundreds of exercises, and they combine strength with a serious calorie burn. I started a program where I work with them every other day. But some of the other things I do are walk the dogs, hike, elliptical, row machine, upright bike, treadmill walking, ballet beautiful DVDs, belly dancing, horseback riding, Netflix video, garden..... Anything that gets the heart rate up!!
Good luck in finding something that works for you!0 -

I too love my kettlebell - It gets the heart goin' and you do add in weight training as well. I just need to get a routine of something down... I'm feel like I'm bouncing around too much and I think I would see more results if I had a routine. Just need to get something goin'! I'm got half the battle down - at least I'm exercising! :happy:0 -
I never follow any routine .. just plan my whole weeks activity and try to work on it but never follow same plan for weeks
change is good
I do cardio and weight in the morning 5 days a week and do Circuit training and Spinning as well
and do Jillian workout dvds in the evening 3 days in a week
and I do mix and match dvds + cardio and weights
It depends on person to person but I have seen one thing for sure .. keep changing ur workouts and keep increasing ur pace/time/weight..
I always try to challenge myself by increasing time on cardio machines or weights while doing strength trainings..0 -
I am starting Stage 2 of The New Rules of Lifting For Women tomorrow. I do HIIT 4-5 days per week alternating 3 weeks of running/stair climbing with 3 weeks of spinning.0

I do circuit training 3x a week. Took the routine from Jillian's book - Winning by Losing.
The 3x a week cardio. Couch to 5k program.
1 day off0
