Cute things you or your significant other has done

He's just insanely goofy, which I appreciate and love, and I don't think I could find that with a lot of other guys. For example, on Sunday morning, we went to a flea market, and I found an old doll I had as a kid. She was in bad shape, but I thought I might be able to fix her, and the guy only wanted $5, so if it was a wash, it wasn't a big deal. Sunday night, I tried my best to work my magic, but she was in really bad shape, so I had to toss her - I know, $5 wasted, but once I started working on her, it was clear she wasn't fixable.

When I told my boyfriend that I had to chuck the doll, he came up with this completely nutty scenario that the doll would turn into a zombie doll, crawl her way out of the trash chute in my building and come back to get me. He said, however, that when it all appeared hopeless, my cat would then come riding out of his domed litterbox on a teensy, tiny little Harley and rescue me from the zombie doll with a little mini-crossbow a la Daryl on "The Walking Dead." Yes, I realize, that's a clear example of one of those "Guess you had to be there" moments. But goofiness like that? You'd have to search the whole world over for someone who makes you laugh that hard.

This happened with a old flame and not my current husband, because my current husband doesn't really show emotions like that. Anyway, we were lying in bed and I asked the proverbial ? "what r u thinking about?" He answered, "u." I asked, "what about me?" And he replied, "how beautiful u r, but u probably already know that." I asked "how would I already know that?" And he said, "because of the way I look at u."

Back when I worked insane hours I would find "I love you" messages here and there....not written on paper or even with a pen or pencil. Once it was spelled out with toothpicks on the kitchen counter with my coffee cup ready to pour at 3am. Another time he wrote it in my bathroom sink using red toothpaste with a red rose in the drain. Another time it was written inside the shower with an old broken eyeliner pencil. When he got me a new laptop he put a sticker on the inside of the lid hinge so it can only be seen when it is in use. And then there was the one written on a sticky note attached to a $1500.00 rebate check he had signed over to me..."I love you, now go get what ever you want..."

In turn I hide notes where he will run across them eventually. Things like "Hi Sexy" "OoOoOo put that sexy butt in me (folded up in a pair of undershorts)" "wink" "I love you" etc. They get hidden all over and when he has to travel his suitcase and laptop bag are loaded with them.
