I have searched the message boards, but I have really only found disputes over Shakeology and that is NOT what I am looking for. Does anybody out there use Shakeology that is NOT A BEACH BODY COACH??? I want to know what other people like me think about it. I do think it is a bit pricey, but I never eat out and only cook at home which saves a ton of money. If I did use it it would NOT be daily. Probably two days a week for breakfast OR every once in a while for a snack. I do take a multi vitamin and eat pretty healthy so I don't even know that it is worth it. And I know there are lots of other supplements out there that people are pushing (zija and the acai berry) Thoughts????

First off, let me start by saying I am a coach NOW. I am only a coach to receive my discount on Shakeology though. I do love it, I tried to use Slimfast, and I was hungry about an hour after I ate... or sooner, and I was always tired and run down, and here's some personal info, but I always added Benefiber to my Slimfast to help things move along, and it did nothing for me but leave me bloated. So after a few months of the Slimfast not working, I finally broke down and bought the Shakeology, well it did fill me up, it helped cure my chocolate cravings, and I actually have energy now. I'm not going to go on and on about all the benefits that it has with all the nutrional facts, I'm just telling you what it did for me. And the best thing, I am very very regular, and I have NEVER been that in my whole life! Take it as you want, just offering you my experience with it. So after using it, they had the free coach sign ups, and that's when I decided to become a coach so I could save money on the Shakeology. And I do use it everyday for Breakfast, its just simple to use when I'm trying to get the kids ready for school.0

I drink shakeology. I am officially a coach but I do not push the product. I just signed up for the discount. I like the product and I try to use it once a day for a healthy meal replacement. It's been working for me and I like it.0

Forget about BeachBody Coaches for a moment, like you originally stated on the subject of your post, and focus on the nutrition facts of the Shakeology. Think of how many products you would have to buy to achieve the amount of nutrients the shake has, and consider the ingredients are whole products. Once you make the math, you'll realize that the value would be way above an ordinary dinner at a restaurant. Thinking that without being a coach, once you divide the 30 portions by the price of the shake, and rounding it up to $5.00 a shake, personally I think it is well worth it. At the end, even if you decide to go to a whole food market or restaurant and get a great health meal for that price, it won't even come close to have half of the nutrients this shake has.
Yes, 119 + shipping (if you don't get Home Direct) sounds pricey because it one single payment, but having 30 portions at about $5 each is not so bad after all.
This is the link to the nutrition facts for Chocolate. It is just the pdf file since my website is not working yet plus I'm not trying to sell you anything at all.

Not a BB coach - cause I live in Canada. I have ordered the 24 packet of chocolate and greenberry. Chocolate was very tastey, greenberry is not my favourite...but it comes with a calender of recipes. Yes, it is pricey - but I did enjoy my supply, and you can cancel the autoship anytime.0

I just looked at the nutritional info Yass posted...and wow! That is pretty damn good for a shake mix!!
Right now I do a smoothie with the following two components in it...I can't say that it doesn't match up nutrient for nutrient because I don't have the time to compare. However, both products combined might come close I think. (I think being key here)

The macrogreens for a midsized 30 day supply is about $40
The spiru-tein for a 1.2 lbs can is $20
I usually go through a can and a half of the spiru-tein a month I think.
All I can say is that I know just with the two things above that I drink minimum 5 times a week I feel SO much better than when I don't. Like I can tell a difference if I don't drink a smoothie on the weekends. So I would assume that shakeology has got to give the same effects since they are similar.
Not sure about the price comparison though.
There's my two cents anyways. For what its worth.0 -
not a coach !...i tasted both flavors both tasted bad with just milk and it says water, yuk!. shakes need to taste good by themselves not give you "recipe cards" its a powder so its not so healthy like it claims...with any vitamins/supplements you need to give it 2+ months to start feeling the affects, I hate it when someone barely drinks it 1-3 days an they claim so much!..not possible its all in the head.0

You know, not every coach out there are out to push products on you. Many people are coaches simply for the discount, as someone stated above. I am a coach but whether you decide to try Shakeology doesn't exactly affect me. But I will tell you what it's done for me. I happen to love the chocolate and have tried most of the recipes provided. I come from a family with chronic stomach problems and that trait did not skip me. I was sick constantly. Since November of last year, when I incorporated Shakeology into my diet, I don't suffer anymore. I don't have uncontrollable cravings anymore, my stomach is very rarely bloated and my stomach pains gone. I have more energy for my day now than I ever did and I'm regular. Then again I'm a coach so.....yea. Wish you the best!0

I just ordered mine after attempting to find a "real" review. There really do not seem to be many and EVERYBODY is a coach. At first I was not going to order it because I assumed that nobody selling a product would bash it and it must all be hype. Then after thinking about it some more I realized that they must have became a coach to get the discount because they actually like the shakes. Either way I am going to try a one time order first to see for myself. Since it is memorial day weekend, I'm not hoping to see it anytime soon, but I will let you know what I think after I have tried it for a week or two. Have you tried it yet?0

HAhahah.
OP: "Hey does anyone use this who ISNT a coach?"
First 3 replies: "I'm a coach but......"
OP: It is overpriced for what you receive and moreover it is not necessary for weight loss or health. Is it a BAD product? No, it's jut not necessary and it's spendy.0 -
I will have my friend Jamie respond.... She has used it for a while.....0

I'm not a coach. I tried samples that other coaches gave me. I have never bought shakeology.
Simply, it was nasty. Both chocolate and greenberry. Now, I tried them with milk and with water and without adding the other ingredients that their recipes suggest. If I'm going to add four or five ingredients to something, I'll just make an omelette.
I have friends that swear by it though.0 -
Shakeology isn't sold in my part of the world, and I have no opinion about the product itself (though I don't like the way they sell it, personally I don't buy anything that is sold through multilevel marketing) but I suggest that you step back from the hype for a moment and ask yourself what you want to get out it as a product?
- Are you looking for a quick and easy breakfast?
- Are you looking for an alternative to a multivitamin?
- Are you hoping for some extra weight loss or health benefits that you don't get from eating food? (It sounds like you are eating well already)
Once you know what you are seeking, it might be easier to weigh up the pros and cons for what sounds like a pretty expensive shake/multivitamin.
Good luck!0 -
I am NOT a BB coach. I have used Shakeology for a while now and I absolutley LOVE it! I have never tried the greenberry, only chocolate and the new tropical strawberry. Chocolate is my favorite. I mix it in a small blender every morning with ice and 8 oz of water. Somtimes I add a scoop of peanut butter for a change. It is a quick out the door breakfast for me that I can drink on the way to work. I love it for many reasons. One...it helps my digestion...I was on a prescription laxative and no longer need it with Shakeology...it doesn't send you running for the bathroom..just helps with regularity. Another reason....it fills me up! I drink it for breakfast and I am good for a few hours until my snack before lunch. It also helps reduce cravings. When I drink it I don't crave other foods. Not just sweets, it helps with all cravings. It also gives me more energy and improves my mood. It is pricey...and there are times that I can't afford to buy it for a while...but when I can I do...because it is worth every penny! Some people don't like the taste though so i would suggest just getting a single packet to see how you like it first. And...I do not like Slim fast or other protein shakes and stuff...and I love the taste of chocolate shakeology. So it's not like other shakes or drinks to me at all.0

I am not a BB coach and have used Shakeology. I had the chocolate one. I really liked it and was on autoship for 3 months. The nutrition is really good and it will be hard to replicate. The only reason I changed it is because it is a bit pricey and I like to have more variety in flavors. I am now using Dr Mercola Miracle Whey, which I use as a protein shake and if I use it to replace a meal I add a bunch of things to it (spinach, PB, plain yogurt, fruits). It is 1/2 the price and the ingredients are really good.0

I use it for its nutritional value because I don't like to eat my veggies And it does keep me feeling full and is convenient.
Now I will be completely honest - I need to plug my nose to get the chocolate down. I don't like the taste at all. I haven't mixed it with anything except 2% milk or almond milk. Never tried the other flavors.0
