I NEED HELPPPP

I've been struggling with under eating. Some days I only have like 500 calories.
Yes I know. That's crap and I need to eat more.
I really want to eat ALL my calories this week, but I don't want to eat junk just to get some calories in. It was actually my goal for this week to EAT.
Problem is.....I woke up this morning feeling FULL. Like I just ate thanksgiving dinner full. I'm really bloated, and could barely fit an apple in my belly this morning.
I WANT to eat, but I felt like that apple was forced and now I feel like I'm gonna puke!
Any ideas to help the bloat so I can eat? Or maybe any ideas for lighter foods today that will help me get my calories in?
Ugh I wanna puke!

Get yourself to the Dr, not normal.
the bloat/feeling full part or the not eating enough part?
well both aren't normal acutally0 -
Have you consumed so few calories for a while or just recently? It could be your body has adjusted to surviving on this. It may take a few weeks to get back to normal.
Try increase your intake gradually by eating things like soups, healthy lean meats, fruits, oats, avocado, nuts, yogurt. If you are still struggling after a couple of weeks you should see a doctor/nutritionist.0 -

Agreed, see a medical professional. People firing suggestions on an internet board is not going to help someone who is eating so few calories in an unsupervised manner.0 -

it's different every week for me actually. some weeks I do really good on calories. other weeks I'm under every damn day. Even on the days I'm under, I don't feel hungry. You would think only eating 500 calories I would be starving, but I'm not. When I do eat all my calories, it's usually forced. But not forced like today. Today is bad.0 -
Sorry for your problem. I was watching Dr. Oz. this week and part of his show was about bloating. Maybe you could look it up the show and see what foods or supplements you could take.0

This is not to sound mean or judgmental but the main problem is your lack of nutritional understanding. You are likely making the mistake than many people make when starting a weight loss routine--you are loading up on fibrous fruits and veggies and cutting out healthy sources of fats and whole grains .
A mere 12 oz smoothie made with 10oz milk, 1 banana, and 2 tbsp peanut butter is almost 500 calories. That's what you eat in an entire day sometimes so you're not really TRYING as hard to get your calories in as you make it seem.
Increase your fat intake--2 oz nuts and 1 oz cheese as a snack is NOT going to make you bloated and its a bit over 400 calories. That combined with the smoothie about is already 900...that's without lunch and dinner.
So please try to incorporate the following:
nuts/seeds/avocado/olive oil/milk/brown rice/sweet potatoes/whole grain bread/whole grain cereal/quinoa/tahini/hummus/etc0 -
A sliver of ivory soap up the *kitten* works wonders0

I saw another post just like this last night so just copied what I told her b/c it's the same answer to you...
I have an issue with this too a lot of times...I drink protein shakes...They have enough calories to help out plus we all need protein...I drink chocolate ones so I get my sweet/chocolate fix as well....I also mix mine with 1% or skim milk to give it more calories...Also, my other go to is just plain peanuts...Very calorie dense with good fats...
Also, with the bloated feeling....How regular are you with using the bathroom...Maybe you are just backed up...Try some fiber in your diet if this is an issue b/c it's hard to eat when you have no room in there to begin with....HTH0 -
in writing this post I am in NO WAY being judgemental - just to clarify. :-)
I would seriously see a doctor.....Im 4ft 11" and trying to gain 20lb....my calorie intake is set at 1,800. I eat well over 1,800 cals in a day. Even when I try, i always end bang on or well over (which is fine for me, to a point). I eat half of that before mid-afternoon. I honestly do not know HOW you can not be hungry enough to eat more than 500 cals in a day?
I realise its differnet for people losing the weight, but 500 cals just seems strange. If i ate just 500 cals daily, I'd be in very bad state. I don't fully understand how it works for people losing, but maybe if you tried eating a little bit every few hours INITIALLY just to get your stomach feeling a little "empty" at key eating times during the day, it may help. Please see a doc though and speak to a few people who KNOW what they're talking about. I'm not the best to comment, but just a little worried for you.0 -

I would just assume take advice from a duck then take it from Dr.Oz0 -
I can't see a doctor right now, so for now I will have to figure this out on my own. Thanks everyone0

These are excellent suggestions! This is exactly what I did when I upped my calories from 800-1000 to 1900. The protein shakes/smoothies and nuts are a life saver! High calories AND good for you, too.0 -

I'd make time if I were you. Bloating can be a sign that something really serious is going on.0 -

Pregnant?
No, and don't take offense to this, but that is one of my biggest pet peeves, when a woman has a medical complaint and someone asks if they are pregnant. It is possible for someone with a uterus to get a tummy ache without a fetus being inside of it.
I'm really not a *****, like I said, it's just one of my biggest pet peeves.0 -

I'm pretty sure you hit the nail on the head. I did go to the bathroom and felt a lot better and was able to enjoy the cookout.0
