Seems like you're exercising a ton, you might want to cut back a little bit or increase your cals.0 -
I'm not sure why this happens. I am stuck at the same weight as well. I'm told that I have to switch up my work outs, because my body has gotten use to them. I haven't done it yet, because (insert excuse here). But I could see the reasoning behind it. Good question! Looking forward to answers. Congrats on your incredible success by the way! It obviously not an issue of determination or commitment! Way to go!0

the only thing i could cut out is jogging as the rest of my exercise is from just being a mom.0 -

Then I'd recommend increasing your calorie intake by 200-300 calories0 -
you gotta do something different to get different results your body is use to it. try working out longer a day or more often per week, also what helped me was to up the calories i ate per day and it actually helped me lose more weight.0

Is 1700 calories what MFP gives you or did you set it custom?
What I do, is set my MFP goal to losing .5 lbs/week... then eat back all my exercise calories. It seems to work for me and my activity level is between moderate and highly active... about 5 hours/week of high intensity exercise.
EDITED TO ADD: There was way more in my head then I ended up typing. Forgive me; it's late. You may not be eating enough... that is my thought process. Try seeing what your goal would be if you set your loss goal at .5 lbs/week. Is it more? Do you know your calorie burn from exercises? Do you have a HRM?0 -
This is also what happened to me. I reached 43lbs lost and NOTHING was letting me drop anymore. So i got frustrated that I ended up giving up and went back to my way of eating before and gained back everything but 14lbs. Now I'm back at it and I'm back to a 30lb weight loss. I also am waiting until I get to that point where I can't lose anymore. I don't know what to do?0

Have you ever tried eating all your exercise calories?
EDIT: Our weight is almost identical.0 -
if i was to set my activity level as active and then not log my daily walks to and from school or the dog walks would this be a good idea.0

Sounds like you've definitely hit a plateau. Basically, it means your body has adapted to what you're doing.
1) Have you adjusted your calories downward as your weight loss progressed? The smaller you doesn't need as many calories to maintain its weight.
2) Changing up your exercise routine is a recurring suggestion I've seen in the forums regarding plateaus.
3) I've seen this article referenced at least a couple times: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/weight-loss-plateau/MY01152
4) I know I've seen references to other good posts about plateaus on the message boards but I can't seem to find them at the moment. :grumble: Can anyone else help here? Bueller? Bueller?0 -

i dont always manage to eat them all, i eat when im hungry.0 -
maybe walk with the kids 50-60 min instead of 40. and run 4-5 miles instead of 3-4. you set the bar too high so now its hard to lose more weight unless you move the bar higher.0

i cant really change the school run. making a 3 and 5year old walk more would be torture for me.. lol
i could change the jogging around.0 -
I'm just going to throw a few suggestions out there:
Try increasing protein intake
Instead of running try swopping 2 runs a week for a hard exercise DVD.
I've had rest weeks where I do no exercise as I usually hit the gym hard and use the week to recharge.
Vary your cals so add 300 over one day and subtract 300 the next from your usual net number (1580?)
You could try adding weights-I didn't lose pounds with weights but I did inches and looked smaller.
Or take advice from a previous post where jillian michaels suggests: lower salt intake under 1500mg, vary calories and clean up your diet so cut processed food out etc.
I should prob take my own advice on these!0 -
actually im surprise they can walk that much. my kids get tired after 10 minutes lol. also when your not losing pounds are you losing inches. that will mean that maybe your building muscle too0

how tall are you ? have you calculated your body fat % ?0
