Feel super discouraged

I posted a blog, and inside are 3 pictures, all the same weight. I am starting to hate my body. I feel like it looks like it's melting. I don't like the way my legs look, I don't like the way my hips look, etc. And it makes me want to stop losing weight all together. I am not doing this so that I hate the way my body looks.

Edit: Sorry I totally posted this in the wrong place

I think you look amazing Amber. Like, seriously. However, I understand how you feel. People can tell me all day long I look amazing, but when I look in the mirror or at pics, I don't see what others see. We are our own worst enemies and we'll always find something we don't like.

You're beautiful. I'm not an expert or anything, I'm no personal trainer, but if you have some stuff that you specifically want to work on or whatever, message me, and we'll work on it together! We have basically the exact same body type, mine's just a lot shorter :)

    Love you!

You look amazing honestly - if you still feel down, get some firming cream...the one from Boots (UK) is brill by Soap and Glory it has a massager on the end and if you do a sugar scrub in shower first then use it...you can feel it working...I can see results from just a few days I'm sure!

As one of your relatively new friends on MFP, can I just say I think you're crazy! You look fantastic. Screw the scale. If I understand what you're lamenting, it's that you feel you are losing in your waist but not other places and this somehow looks bad? Nope, not seeing that. Your body clearly transforms in those pics and looks very healthy and if I can say it damn sexy. Don't be down!
  • 99% of the women on this site would LOVE a body like yours. You are gorgeous!

Heck, I would love a stomach like yours, and I am a guy! I would just look rather odd with boobs.

I think you look really great but if you're not happy you can certainly try changing things up. New exercise routine, maybe try to add some muscle... whatever would make you happy.

But you really do look amazing. No reason to hate on yourself.

This is more of less what I'm looking for. I need a new way to switch it up, but I don't know how without trimming down my waist more. But I don't really stick to any kind of specific workout. I walk ~5 miles a day. That's the only consistant thing I do.

You could certainly start lifting. Every girl I know who lifts gets amazing results and often they find themselves really loving who they are. It's not a magic bullet or anything, but I would certainly recommend it.

And you can cut back on the cardio if you do. That's probably shedding a lot of both fat and muscle off your frame. I'm no expert mind you. Fair warning that lifting might still cause your waist to shrink, but you'll be firmer and more tone.

Babe, I think you look amazing. You should be proud of yourself. Look at the definition in your stomach that you've achieved in simply a few months.

You look, and are, beautiful. ♥

Excellent. And you get the same good advice everyone else gets. New Rules of Lifting For Women, Stronglifts 5x5 or Starting Strength. All of these programs are great for people starting out. Start light, work on your form and don't ever be intimidated in the gym. You'll actually be surprised how helpful people can be.

You're georgeous. Stop looking at air brushed magazines, and stop looking at fitness model photo shoots. they are not real!!! You are real and you have great obliques, for one thing.
And yup some great advice, change it up and focus on fitness and exercise rather than just weight loss.

you look awesome! And I love your tummy. If you're not feeling your amazing results, maybe you can add some weights or even up your weights if you have already incorporated them into your routine. You won't get bulky only beautiful muscle definition to your already beautiful body. All you need is some weights, some protein and you should be good to go in a few weeks. Smile Honey, you look lovely

Came here to say the exact same thing as Brett, lifting will make you lose less weight but your body will change for the better!

first, let me say i think you are totally gorgeous and you are making great progress on your body. :)

second, i agree with the above poster. lifting weights has made a big difference in changing my body composition and helping things "lift" haha. i do a combination of cardio and lifting and it really has made a huge difference.

Thanks. I'm looking up lifting workouts that I can start doing.

I think you look awesome! Sometimes, I think that while we're losing and our bodies are changing they can sometimes "look awkward" to us. Like, I know I've lost weight and inches, but to me when I look in the mirror my midsection looks bigger than before. But, then I have to check myself and remember that it doesn't come off evenly and I'm losing from other places first.

Don't get discouraged! You look amazing and I think it's awesome that you've been able to change your shape without losing a bunch of weight! I wish I were able to do that, too!
