    lincoln logs...me and my brothers would build forts out of them for the little green army men and then we would have wars, you had to "kill" all of your opponent's men by shooting them with a rubber band and knocking them over...if you shot the lincoln log fort in the right spots, you could make it collapse on any soldiers inside it and kill them.

    Old School Legos > Lincoln Logs (fantastic catapults) > new legos (too many specialized pieces that can only be used to make the originals.)

    I played with both legos and lincoln logs and liked both as a kid, but legos were more fun. Better than legos was the all metal erector set I had as a kid. I remember building a working crane and other fun stuff with that. Now erector sets are all plastic and just not as cool.

    Lincoln logs. Legos have gotten too crazy. It takes hours to put together one damn boat and then my son takes the thing apart. I want to scream.

    Exactly, takes hours to put together the millenium falcon, but one second to drop it and make it impossible to rebuild. Then finally get it back together, just to make it a display piece that no one is ever aloud to touch or play with ever again.

    Lincoln Logs. I can actually build something great with them. Legos always end up being some ridiculous looking mis-matched color tower or rectangle.
