:sad: Hi everybody i have returned after a few weeks due to a death in the family,hope everyone is well. I have a quick Q i weighed myself last week and had lost a pound last week but when i weighed myself tonight abd have gained 3 pounds! Is that even possible :-( i will admit that my weekend was a crazy one and i did eat the wrong foods but did not go over my calorie intake. Is this fat tht i have gained? I feel very disheartened by this and would love some motivational support. xxx:sad:

Most likely water weight from high sodium if you have been eating wrong foods this past weekend.0

I agree with Eternal that is is likely to be water, draw a line under it, keep going and weigh again in a week's time!0

That is completely possible, but it's probably not fat gained. Like EternalJourne said, it's probably water retention. I can bounce between 2-3lbs gained in a day, but it's not actually a gain. Your weight will fluctuate daily so it will for sure fluctuate over the course of a few weeks.0

dont over-react yet. make sure you weigh yourself first thing in the am (before consuming anything) and on teh same scale everytime. weigh yourself 3 days in a row and consider the average your current weight.

Three words: water, water, water. It is your best friend right now. Drink at least 3 liters everyday this week and watch those three pounds just disappear. :-)0

Secondly, three pouNds is nothing. You've been going through a stressful time so no matter what it is, just start over again and don't get worried about it. i put on two stone when my dad died!

When u say drink plenty of water do u mean just plain water? No cordial/squash (the ones that say no added sugar) xx0
