Lol, I have no clue if it is "healthy" or not, but I try to get the unprocessed (raw) honey from a local apiary in exchange for labor or something. I love honey!
I like to eat in drizzled in my oatmeal, or in my yogurt, or even in a peanut butter sandwich instead of jelly. On-top of a bagel or english muffin, or fruit swirled in a honey syrup...yum!
Also you can serve it on pancakes.0 -
thanks i'll have to try it on my oatmeal tomorrow0

sounds stupid but is apples and honey good together??? haha im about to go eat an apple so was just wondering0

Its not necessarily unhealthy but too much isn't good for you. Just like with any other sugar. I'd recommend getting raw honey if you want it for the other health benefits. I'm not sure if the health benefits of raw honey are true or not but I do prefer the flavor.0

What is the purpose of this line of questioning? Are you specifically looking to add honey in to your diet for some reason?

Apples with almond butter and honey are really tasty. You can probably sub any other nut butter if you prefer too.0 -
Love Honey and Peanut butter together in a toasted sandwich. Or a honey drizzle on a toaster waffle. Always can add to a smoothie for sweetness.0

Honey and Apples go great together. I am not 100% sure about the calorie/sugar count but honey is one of the best things for you and has a very diversified use. I eat a spoonful every morning to help with heartburn. I have tried evey medicine over the counter and prescription available and none have helped me but honey does the trick. I put it on cuts and burns and they heal quicker it has to be the raw unprocessed honey you get a farmers market or something.
if it has been heated then it looses its affect.
but food wise its great too.0 -
I love toasting whole grain bread and then putting a little margarine and drizzling honey on top. Delicious!0

I don't know for sure, but I think it is...and it's so YUMMY!!!!!0

Some people say that eating local honey can help your body cope with seasonal allergies, so I guess that could be considered a health benefit.0

is honey some what healthy and if so i need some good breakfast recipes with honey please!
It can be, but only if it's natural and local. Most store-bought honey isn't pure, it's got all sorts of added ingredients. Local honey can protect you from allergies as it sort of "immunizes" you to things in your area.0 -
I'm pretty sure honey is good on just about anything. :ohwell:
It's still sugar, though. Moderation is the key.0 -
local, organic (if possible) honey is best, imho.
Honey and yogurt is very good.
Honey i oatmeal or on cereal is nice.
Honey with milk and bananas (pre-peeled, sliced and frozen) -blended, make a 'shake' that is very much like ice cream- but so much better for you
good luck, honey.
