Im getting "without struggle there is no progress"

Taking this for inspiration but different font and placement0 -
I have 'cura te ipsum' written in Tim Burton's Nightmare before Christmas font on my hip. The latin proverb means 'cure thyself' as I used to have anorexia and it reminds me to cure what caused me so much pain, stress and anxiety. It reminds me to keep on the right path and have a normal relationship with food0

I have one on the back of my neck that says strong soul in gaelic...has other means then weight loss such as hard life events but even through weigh loss i'm still strong.0
-
<<< on my shoulder, to remind and encourage me.0
-
I like 'Know thyself' as it indicates change on so many different changes, not just fitness and weightloss.
Either in Latin (nosce te ipsum) or ancient Greek (γνῶθι σεαυτόν)
Already got a tattoo in Greek so may well opt for Greek again.0 -
Mine is "never again" in latin, with my starting weight in roman numerals, reminding me that I will NEVER go back there.

Might wanna spell check that one.0 -
My cousin has just had this tattoo done with the meaning of 'free spirit' and 'there but for the grace of God go I'

Just your achieved good weight in roman numerals, as someone suggests above, is a great idea !0
-
I'm thinking of getting one to celebrate my half-marathon, something like XIII.1 surrounded by a maple leaf on my calf.0

That's really pretty and really creative! I love it0 -
Love the saying here... perfect.Im getting "without struggle there is no progress"

I got a tattoo back in February. It reminds me of how far I've come and that this journey never ends.

I got a tattoo two weeks ago to celebrate my success. It was just a viney sort of pattern on my side/ribs/hip, and I chose it because I always thought it would accentuate my body when I had lost weight.
And it looks awesome :-)
I wouldn't put letters or a saying on myself, for the same reason I wouldn't put a name on myself. It might not always be true... better that it means something just to you, and others can guess ;-)0 -
I don't have any weight loss or text tattoos, but make sure you pick something you are going to want on you forever, pick a good shop and a good artist and ask to see their portfolios. If you want text, make sure they do steady line work.
The big koi on my back in my icon was a 7 hour tattoo session and it was a cover up that another tattoo artist messed up and changed my original drawing without telling me and it was on my back, so I couldn't see it0 -
I haven't gotten one directly related to weight, but a reminder that no matter where I am in my life, I'm constantly evolving and changing as a person (which can now encompass getting healthier!). On my 36 birthday, I got an original design phoenix on my shoulder blade. At that point, I had been a mother for 1/2 my life, which is an experience that has strongly influenced who I am now. Like the phoenix, I am strong and am continuously learning, growing, and starting over...0

How about a princess throwing a 100 pound dumbbell over the edge of a cliff when you reach the 100 pounds lost mark?0
-
My initial weight loss of 60 lbs gave me the idea for my 4th tattoo. It's a Lotus flower tattoo and beneath the flowers it says "Believe in Yourself" - in vietnamese (also a tribute to my asian heritage). I got it on the back of my neck0
-
I'm getting a flower on my side when I turn 18 and when I reach my goal weight0
-
I keep joking I'm going to get a "Budda with a Six Pack" when I get to goal.0
-
Getting a tattoo referencing Buffy The Vampire Slayer (the tv show). It will say "Every one of us". Basically, in the last episode of the series she tells all these girls (potential vampire slayers) that she wants to live in a world where all of us girls are strong, like her. Buffy (the character) has influenced so much in my life, and now that I'm at GW, I see that I am strong too.0

I have been planning to get one when I reach my goal weight and can hold there for a little while. I have decided on the back of my neck in a pretty font IN MEMORY the Y will come under the words with a small heart in the middle that will have the # of lbs lost which will be 76 when I get finished.23 more lbs till I am there.0
-
I am getting "soul of a warrior" in chinese on my left wrist when I finish my first half marathon in October. I hope to follow that up with "rock and roll" on my right wrist after I finish the PF Changs Rock and Roll marathon next January.0

I have one (not for weight loss but still great for it...) that says "True victory is victory over oneself"0
-
I am thinking about getting "though she be but little, she is fierce" tattooed once I hit goal weight. Can't go wrong with Shakespeare since I'm an English teacher0
