Help!!
I have been doing calorie counting for a few months, and running and I have lost about 15 pounds. I have been feeling great about my progress, until today. I talked to a friend who is a registered dietition, and I let her know about this website. The calories calculated for me to eat are about 1450 on this site, plus more if I am working out. She said that I should be eating more like 1200 calories and working out too. SHE KIND OF BURST MY BUBBLE! Am I doing the right thing, by eating the calories recommended by this site.

  • First of all, if you're LOSING WEIGHT, it seems like you're doing the right thing. You didn't say how much you weighed / how tall you were / and how much weight you want to lose. But if you're losing, stick to what you're doing. I don't know why your friend would have told you that if the plan you're on is working for you.

Hi. I've been doing this for about one week now. My MFP says 1200 calories a day which i struggle to get to. Usually about 1000. And then i also do a 2 hour daily work out which burns 500 calories so net is about 500. Went on scales this morning and still the same??. What's going on, as i expected to see at least a pound off. Am i doing something wrong?

Honestly, if she is a registered dietician I would trust her opinion. Although seriously, it's only a differen of like 200 cals........ so either way you will lose weight.
