Sugar and Carbs

We don't eat gluten and, honest, glutenfree foods usually taste pretty disgusting. I think I eat fairly healthy and there is very, very little processed food as part of my diet.
I have the odd potato/rice/quinoa but on the whole most of my carbs come from stuff like fruit. Is this okay?

Well that is tricky because all carbs aren't created equal. Fruit is a simple carb and grains are complex carbs. Some break down more slowly than others and therefore don't create an insulin spike.
I'd be more concerned about how your body reacts to the carb rather than the carb itself. I'm sugar sensitive so I stay away from fruit and opt for more whole grains in terms of carbs. If I ate fruit I'd be hungry again shortly afterwards.
Legumes are also complex carbs which add to your variety of carbs.0
