Broccoli Slaw!

Hello All, So I am so excited about broccoli slaw, I don't know if it's the warm months but it is really about my favorite thing! The way I am preparing it right now is as follows:
Bag of Broccoli Slaw
Broccoli Florets cut small
Craisins- about 1/2 cup
Sunflower Seeds- about 1/4 cup
Bacon Bits- about 1/4 cup
Coleslaw Dressing- to taste
This makes quite a bit
A lot of the mixing and measuring is really to your taste, especially the dressing, I don't need a lot of it.
There is all kinds of things you can add to this basis, I add some diced grilled chicked to make the salad a meal. I also like to add this amazing sprout mix I get at our local farmer's market here.
Anybody else have any suggestions/recipes for Broccoli slaw?

This sounds good. I think I'm going to try this. Thanks for posting :-)0

I use the bagged broccoli slaw as the green stuff when I make wraps. It adds good bulk without a lot of calories.0

I make a simple red wine vinigrette and put it on just about anything - wraps, shrimp tacos, in salads for bulk. Good stuff!! Like your recipe!! I think I might try that tonight!! I've got all the fixin's for it!!0

My husband used to make this with Olive oil Mayo and some celery seed (we let sit
overnight and it was yummy)
This last time, I made it with Light Cesar Dressing and the celery seed. I didnt put
much dressing so it kept it on the lighter side. It was tasty.
Again, letting sit overnight to combine well makes a nice difference. I love broccoli slaw
P.S. and a TBLSP or so of vinegar of choice0 -
i have never heard of broccoli slaw but this does sound good. I may have to look into it. Thanks for sharing!!!0

I just did this and used lemon juice and a drizzle of white balsamic vinegar! ZERO calories instead of mayo cals!0

I LOVE broccoli slaw. It has about 25 calories per serving, 4 servings per 16 ounce bag. I add either just white balsamic vinegar to it; or I add 2 TB of light mayo and some apple cider vinegar. Delicious!0

If you strir fry broccoi slaw or regular coleslaw with a bit of oil it makes a decent substiitue for rice or noodles with chicken stir fry.0

A lightened up version of broccoli slaw:
1 package broccoli slaw
2 chopped green onion
8 splashes low sodium soy sauce
large squirt of yellow mustard
1/2C apple cider vinegar
1/4C olive oil
1/4C unsweetened applesauce
1/8C sugar (you could try out stevia)
season with sea salt & pepper to taste
A note about the ramen noodle version: ramen noodles are deep fried and full of artery clogging fat and empty carbs. Use a crunch with healthy fat and some protein like chopped up almonds.
I also like to use the raw broccoli slaw straight from the bag as a veggie topping for any salad.0
