I'm going to be visiting my future- father-in-law and his wife this coming saturday for a week. This means not being able to count my calories as thoroughly, and having to alter my exercise routine. Does anyone have any good advise to staying or track? What kind of exercise routine do you do?

If you have been watching your calorie intake for awhile, you should be able to pretty much know what foods to eat smaller portions of, however, everyone prepares foods differently... I was out of town last week for a couple of days.......I just made sure to eat healthy and portion size......it wasn't too hard, but I wasn't under the stress of visiting future in-laws.

I made sure to walk and get exercise in that way :o) I walked a lot, and did my stretching too...... ask someone to walk with you if you need to, they might enjoy it!!!

    good luck!

You can walk anywhere, I also bring my resistance bands which travel well. If I am staying at a hotel, I search for one with a pool - the best exercise even if you are just moving for an hour.

If staying in a hotel, I get up early and use the gym. Or I run. Running or walking can be done pretty much anywhere. You don't have to go everyday, especially if it is the type of vacation where you will be moving a lot, like walking around sight seeing.

The other thing I do is make sure I have a healthly/lighter breakfast and lunch, then I have whatever I want for supper. For me, part of travelling is experiencing food. This way I get to do it, but not go overboard.
