Hi!
I'm new to MFP and I have a question - how many carbs should I be eating if I want to lose fat/build muscle? I'm not sure how to fix the percentage on the macros - and if I should? Any advice?

Counting carbs you shouldn't really worry about. As long as your meeting your calorie goals that MFP recommends, you should lose the weight you want. Also, to build muscle you need to do some strength training such as lifting weights.0

a moderate caloric deficit at a ratio of 40c/40p/20f combined with strength training would be a good place to start. Monitor your progress and adjust your macros as necessary.0

This really depends on what type of weight loss plan you are going to follow. We're all different and so are our diet plans. Some low calorie, some low carb, some low fat. You have to find your nitch !!
I'm personally doing low carb, about 20 to 40 carbs per day. This works for me. If you are interested in a controled carb style, there are some great boards here on MFP.
