I have a very fun jubilee weeekend planned, however, it involved eating out everyday for the 4 days. this really is my weakness while I'm trying to lose weight and I'm looking for advice on how to still enjoy myself but not fall completely off the bandwagon!! We're going to an italian, and indian and a bistro place :) x

I start by looking to see if the particular restaurant(s) have their nutritional info posted online. If not, search the MFP food database. I'm often very pleasantly surprised when I do.

Anyway, look through those resources for your best bets for trying to stay within or near your goals. That said, I think everyone should allow themselves some "special occasion" allowances from time to time.

One other thing you can do is to eat half of your meal, and take the rest with you.

I had the same a week or two ago, eating out 8 times in 7 days! It was tough. Try to get out of the mindset you are treating yourself because you are eating out. I think an aim to maintain weight that week may be more realistic than losing (it's better than gaining). In the curry house stick to non creamy dishes. Limit yourself to a small amount of rice or a bit of naan. Not all of or worse, both. Take off the serving dishes what you know to be a decent sized portion then get the waiters to take them away, to avoid keep topping up your plate. In the Italian you could probably order some meat and Veg without pasta or pizza. I think make the suitable food choices from the menu, then stick to a decent portion size and send the rest away. And if you have to have puds and starters share them. Then try to fit in lots of exercise too. Hope this helps

Go low carb for 4 days. Have a meat course and veg but no potatoes, bread, rice. If you must have something sweet, share it and just have a few spoonfuls. You can still have a delicious meal, you'll still be full. It might be hard at a street party / buffet kind of thing, but chicken, salads are tasty - just don't stand anywhere near the table! Have a good weekend.
