I've been eating oatmeal with flax seeds in it...but need to keep my carbs lower. I would really like some Ideas for eating a lower carb breakfast. I usually have two boiled egg whites with the oatmeal, so the eggs I get, but that's not enough on it's own. Any Ideas would be helpful.

    My macros are set for 40/30/30...won't the bacon and egg yolks bring my fat intake up pretty high?

    I have been watching my carbs as well however I am not sure if a protein smoothie is low enough for you. One thing I take to heart from Bob Harper and his new book is eating a berry every day (among other things) So in the AM I make a strawberry smoothie with a Protein powder from GNC and plain yogurt and milk.
    And just because it is breakfast doesn't mean you can't have tuna or cheese or something like that.
    Try these? What about an omelet with beans and chicken a spice or two?
    * Chicken breast (skin removed)
    * Turkey breast (skin removed)
    * Egg Whites
    * Fish Fillet (flounder, sole, scrod, cod, etc.)
    * Shellfish (clams, lobster, scallop, shrimp)
    * Lean Beef (top round)
    * Tuna (canned in water)
    * Non-fat cottage cheese
    * Beans (black beans, kidney, chick peas or lentils)

    Thanks Stephanie...I didn't even think about those things. I have a Turkey Tenderloin in the fridge I cooked last night, so will heat that up with some scrambled egg whites and a bit of cheese...That should do the trick. I am not as concerned with fruit/veggie carbs, as the body processes them differently. It's the grains and white stuff I have to cut back on...I love oatmeal, but really want to up my protein, while cutting back a bit on carbs.
