Need encouragement, new to site

Hi, I am only 2 days into this site and I wanted to hear from people who have been using it. Is it really as simple as counting your calories? I fell off the wagon past two years when I was on such a good road. I have tried numerous diets that were not helpful because I am back to my weight I was 2 years ago. I am willing to put the effort in and try this for at least a month to see if the calorie counting works. Exercising isn't the problem, it is the food. I am not looking for any more gimmicks and want to be more disciplined like I used to be. Will this site help me turn things around? Thanks for listening and your encouragement.

For me it is really as simple as counting calories. I want to make a life change not some fad diet and in order to do that I know I am not going to drastically eliminate all of the foods that I love from my diet. I have not eliminated anything I love from my diet, I have just become more aware of what I am eating and what is actually a portion size. For me just paying attention to what a portion size should be is key, since I used to easily eat 3 times true portion size. This site has been by far the most helpful resource I have found for tracking what I am eating to keep the awareness I need to be successful.0

Hi... I have only been on here a couple of weeks but like the person said if your honest & track everything then yes!!.. I lost 1st 7lbs on slim fast then moved to WW but was always hungry & felt deprived so I cheated a lot!!.. Now nothing is off limits I dont really crave the bad stuff as I know I can still have it but in moderation!!.. It's not a diet it's a lifestyle change & I've realised that now!!.. You will get there!! Good luck & feel free to add me..0

Hi! To lose weight you must watch your portion sizes of your meals! DO NOT SNACK AT NIGHT! Walk!! Get yourself in home walking tapes! You can walk all year around in all kinds of weather and it is saver. Use the Canadian Food Guide you must eat a varity of foods. I find not eating carbs after 1pm helps a lot. I eat fruit in the morning or oatmeal with fruit or bread. Lunch I have salad and protein and vegetables and dinner I have the same. If I am good I have a treat like a piece of pie or ice cream. Only once a week!! Write everything down the first 21 days It takes that long to change a bad habbit! See if your losing if not then you are eating to much.0
