OKAY SO I AM HAVING TROUBLE TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW MANY CUPS R IN 4 OUNCES OF MAC AND CHEESE ? DOES ANY 1 KNOW LOL.... WELL I KNOW THAT ITS 1/2 A CUP BUT I WAS TOLD NOT TO MEASURE FOOD LIKE WE MEASURE LIQUIDS........

In terms of volume, you can absolutely measure solid and liquid the same way. It's just if you're doing weight... as in you can't jam chocolate into a "1-oz" size container and say that it is 1 oz of weight. Serving sizes are always listed by volume.
But if you WEIGHED out 4 ounces of mac and cheese... well then I can't help you on how many cups that is!0 -
Imperial measurement system = confusion!
The ounce (oz) is both a mass measurement (weight) and a volume measurement (space)... e.g. an 8 oz steak (mass) is quite different from an 8oz glass of water (volume)!0
