HELP I'm always hungry feeling...

OK so I just started my diet or shall I call it my "healthy eating" and soon to be exercising plan. And it's been 3 days, and I've done good as far as eating the right amount of calories stated and eating the "right" foods. But yesterday and today I've had such bad pains in my stomach like you have when you are really hungry - I don't know why really but I'm thinking I'm missing something from my diet and that's why I'm having this hungry feeling all the time. I even had a smoothie with some protein powder in it last night and about an hour later that feeling was back.

Any suggestions on what I can add to help with this - I don't recall it happening the last time I've dieted, and because I feel that way I haven't been able to exercise yet cause I don't feel well.

Thanks in advance :)

Your diary is private, so nobody can see how much/what you're eating. Without that, it'd be pretty tough to help you out.

Usually when peeps feel super hungry, the suggestion is to either eat more calories, or up your protein :)

Ooops I just noticed that, I changed my settings. I have added more protein but I'm thinking maybe not enough cause I still have this empty feeling. I just hope it improves as I get used to the diet.

I have some days where I'm just hungry and nothing helps. Most days drinking water works. I always have to work hard to get in my daily amount of water. I also found that it helps if I eat half my lunch then eat the other half around 2 or 3pm when I'm hungry again.

    Hi Merew,

I just looked at your food diary and I notice two things. 1: no snacks and 2: you spend a lot of calories on salad dressings.

Consider using less dressing or a lower fat one and use some of those calories for mid morning and mid afternoons snacks. I like fruit or veggies with a little hummus or peanut butter or a boiled egg. I find a bit of protein and a bit of fat will carry me to the next meal. Water and hot tea also help.

I also love rich dressings and have started cutting one tablespoon of bleu cheese dressing with a bit of water. This way I don't need two tablespoons, I still get the flavor kick AND is spreads across my salad more evenly because it isn't so thick.

Hope this helps. Feel free to add me a s a friend if you like.
